Stalker711 0 Posted September 25, 2008 So Felix Jones is going to start ahead of Marian Barber and Mendenhall is going to start consistantly ahead of Parker?White has proven his worth this season. He and Chris Johnson are co-number 1 running backs. Johnson has more yards but White gets the tough yards. Great situation for Tennessee. Marion Barber is a beast. LenDale White is a bit of a plodder. White might have the physical ability to be as good as Barber, but he doesn't appear to have the drive to bring that potential out. From what I saw/read, Chris Johnson was brought in to play a similar role to that Felix Jones, but his abilities exceeded what Fisher saw pre-draft, and that blossomed into a starting and complementary role to White, who also stepped up this year. They appear to be a 1b-1b RB tandem, where as Marion Barber is the clear starter, and Felix Jones is a monster of a spell/complementary back who if Barber wasn't there, would be a nice #1 starting RB. lambert58 71 Posted September 25, 2008 You're a dumbass. Lendale can't even sniff Marion Barber or Willie Parker. Chris Johnson was the opening day starter so this a moot discussion anyways. Try some original material... Your stick was funny at first but now you just look like an idiot.

The point of my response was to the statement "Chris Johnson was not drafted to sit behind Lendale White". My opinion is that Chris Johnson was drafted to compliment Lendale not replace him. That seems to be the way the NFL is trending. Look at Dallas, Tennessee, San Diego, New Orleans, Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, Carolina, New Enland, Indy, etc. Most of these teams now have 2 running backs that are used frequently to keep players fresh. Even "studs" like Addai and LT are rested through the use of other running backs. Chris Johnson is a playmaker but I believe Fisher knows that he can only be a playmaker if he isn't worn down by constant pounding. Look at what happened to Reggie Bush last year. Day Old Doughnut 0 Posted September 26, 2008 Pin me Mike! Week 10-16 the kid might be startable ... but don't draft him. It's soo easy being the best ... it's sick. As usual, you're an idiot. The dude has been anything but a bust. You suck at this as bad as your political and common sense views. Stick to posting about....... nothing.
Giants Fan 85 Posted September 27, 2008 And ... larger backs like Charles Way (stud, 7th rounder) Ron Dayne (first rounder. fat) fit the system, at the time. Point is, THEY DON'T ALWAYS work out right away. sometimes never (see Dayne). That's the way the NFL works.
Giants Fan 85 Posted September 27, 2008 Wanna know why/how I knew Ricky Williams would bust? 1 word .... Ditka.
Giants Fan 85 Posted September 27, 2008 FYI: It's true, I did not call Dayne as a bust ... I refrained from making an opinion there. I never said he was gonna be great either. I wanted him to be ... like BRANDON JACOBS ... the guy is a focking freight train. AND ... he's fast ... for a big guy. He may not win a lot of fantasy trophies .... but I guarantee the General doesn't care about your fantasy team's numbers. There once was another football player named OJ, that wasn't a murderer, OJ Anderson ... you may remeember him from old Techmo with Joe Morris. OJ and "Little" Joe .... the original "Thunder and Lightning".
