Can we talk line moves?

 

Philly, ditka, GR, Art?

 

Help me figure out why a line opens at 16 and moves to 19 by kickoff. I'm sure there is a play here and I've spotted about 4 games today. I am thinking of taking the Favorite or Dog in all 4 games, sorta like an experiment.

 

It could move for any reason. I recommend that you treat each game individually when analyzing it.

 

Weather.

Injuries.

Heavy action on the favorite as the book adjust trying to create interest in the dog by offering more points to that side.

For conspiracy nuts like myself the book sometimes sets a trap and the line moves for no reason or doesn't move when it should.

My horror story memories are of Lines that move 2.5 points (doesn't seem to matter if its the fav or the dog) on game day and I, being a hard head, stick with my gut and still play and end up losing. Even when I heard the move, I thought to myself, "thats to many" but still went with it and lost.

 

 

Anyhow, my card today.

 

Sticking with da Pirates. East carolina -13 at Tulane for the same 2 units.

 

I don't think Oh St will be ready for USC with the whole Beanie drama. USC by 20.

 

I like Arizona St at home to destroy UNLV. 44-14 like.

 

Same-same Boise St on the home blue turf, destroys Bowling Green.

 

Considering Fresno St vs Wisky.

Thanks for the heads up, im staying on it but it does look a bit dicey. Oregon should be able to run all day on Purdue and.....sweet! Purdue just ran through Oregon and scored

rain hasn't gotten them yet... i'm holding out hope for the second half... 26 pts scored so far... under 58.5 for me, but not liking my chances as the offenses will probably make adjustments and dial in some points... good luck!

He was 2-0 on his picks going into this week, winning on Minnesota and Florida last week, even though some pushed or lost with Florida. He had another best bet this week, but I have no idea what it was.

nice call on baylor guys... i'm a little disappointed with the push for USF... but better than a loss i guess... still tough after being up 14 in the 4th...

 

an inside tip (not that you guys care...) but it has been raining here in iowa city since 6 pm... no joke, and it has recently started downpouring... and it is supposed to rain for most of the game tomorrow...

 

that being said i am loving this O/U at 48... a historically low scoring series where TDs are hard to come by (15-13 last year in perfect conditions) i think i'd bet this under even if the conditions were perfect... the field will no doubt be soggy from the rain over the past 6 hours... and like i said... supposed to rain tomorrow throughout most of the game...

I was 4-4 today. Went to the Oregon State/Hawaii game. Great stadium, Great Tailgating, Great fans, Great fun at Corvallis at Reser Stadium...

 

Didn't watch any other games today, I did see my Illini stunk.

Came out ok after some really tough games this week. Disappointed with Illinois which could've made it a great weekend. I've seen some of the preliminary lines for this week. I already jumped on Georgia (-7) for 7 units against Arizona St. This is my game of the week.
