Dan 62 Posted August 7, 2004 As I have informed you previously, I will not be near a computer this coming week. I have a friend - the commissioner of my dynasty league - who is going to be drafting in my place. His name is Rick Smith. I will make contact plans available before I leave Monday morning at 10:30. He will be authorized to trade and pick in my stead. He knows how I think - poor guy - and will do very well as my proxy. I have informed him of the rules, and am e-mailing him the appropriate lists and links. If this plan presents a significant problem, please let me know immediately. My many thanks to all for keeping the pace of this draft lively and swift.
Dalem 0 Posted August 7, 2004 Not a problem at all. If he has any questions, you can forward him my e-mail addy. ETA: We're more than halfway through the draft. Hopefully, we can finish by the time you return.
Dan 62 Posted August 7, 2004 My feeling was that you probably will. This is really the reason that I decided to find someone to run my draft, rather than pre-draft everything. It allows flexibility and potential as we go into the end rounds. And Rick is experienced and savvy - I'm in pretty good hands.

Walter34 3 Posted August 7, 2004 And Rick likes romantic walks and kisses that last three days - I'm in pretty good hands.
Dalem 0 Posted August 7, 2004 Thanks to people pre-drafting, we've made it through 20+ picks on a Saturday.
Dan 62 Posted August 7, 2004 Tis awesome. I will make sure I stay further ahead. I may even get to draft another pick before I leave on Monday. Although that could be optimistic, even for the pace of this draft.
Dalem 0 Posted August 7, 2004 Tis awesome. I will make sure I stay further ahead. I may even get to draft another pick before I leave on Monday. Although that could be optimistic, even for the pace of this draft. Well, I've e-mailed both proteus and nan. After their picks, it's five pre-drafts. If they pre-draft their around-the-turn picks, only fantasygod and stinkybob would need to show up before it's back to Dan.
