Commish Help - Trade Veto

Guys, I have a trade that seems fishy: D.Garrard for C.Portis. As commissioner, can I overturn this trade?

 

The guy with Portis is 0-5 and does need a QB, but this seems bad.

 

We start 1 QB, 2RB, plus a flex that can be another RB or WR

A. Rodgers

D. Garrard

I normally say allow all trades, but this one does look fishy. Portis is a #1 stud RB and a QB as good as Gerrard can be found on most waiver wires.

Veto! The trade doesn't even help the guy...Hasselbeck is just as good as Garrard. It doesn't smell good at all.

I'd at least be asking team #1 why he is making such a horrible trade.

What's his relationship with the Team #2 owner? and is this a money league?

 

Definitely warrants some investigation.

I second this.....it would be tough to justify this trade. I am an anti-veto commish, but there does come a point where a veto is needed.

 

There has always been two sides to this (assuming there isn't collusion), and it has to do with.....I'm almost afraid to say it......the competitive balance of the league. I believe there is such a thing and it needs to be protected. The more I think about it, the more inclined I am to veto it. I would need to hear a great reason from the Portis owner.
