Starting to understand Ron Paul's economic thoughts

I have been a avid supporter of Ron Paul and his views. I am also active at www.campaignforliberty.com

 

That being said I do think shiat is about to hit the fan. I have also convinced my wife of the same. Yeah yeah I know I am focking nuts! Maybe so. But if I am right I will be able to feed my family and protect my property when SHTF. We have been purchasing $150 (not much but we arent rich) worth of SHTF supplys for the past 3 months now. I have canned food, rice, batterys, bullets, etc.

I've contemplated preparing for the worst alot lately. I will probably purchase a bunch of gold, and numerous items to defend myself.

Spam keeps forever, but dang, talk about torture; having to eat spam every day.

 

Gold and booze are both things that are invaluable if the economy were to tank. I'm just not ready to buy into the idea that we're going into a total depression. However, if we did, right now, I'd be screwed. It can't hurt to prepare I guess.

I figure if I am wrong with prepping (And seriously I pray to God I am) that in a few years before stuff goes bad we will donate it to a charity, they can always use it anyways. Worst case scenario is I learn how to prepare (invaluable) save money better, and give to a deserving charity.
