KELLER OR CLARK? KELLER OR CLARK?

Recommended Posts

Dallas Clark vs. CIN (I'm worried the Colts will just pound away the 2nd half and not throw much...)

-OR-

Dustin Keller @ SF (49ers have been known to bottle up TEs, especially the last 4 games...)

I GOTTA WIN THIS GAME, HELP A BROTHA OUT!!!

ALSO...

Bears DST vs. JAC

Jets DST @ SF

Bucs DST @ CAR

WHICH DST SHOULD I START?

(I went Clark/Jets last week and got beat because of it). I know you have to have a short memory in this game, but, a trend is a trend...

To me, Keller is easy, but the tougher question is on the defense. All things considered, I would roll with the Bucs. It's a big game on Monday night and you're likely to see a lot of turnovers...

Thanks for the help with mine.

Well I would have to go with the Bucs Defense, they have been doing well for me in one of my other leagues. Unfortunately I am hoping for DeAngelo to get a couple scores and yardage out of them (we'll see), it's a long shot but it's all I have right now, besides using Marion Barber or Ricky Williams...both not good for this week. At least I have Hillis going up against KC defense this week and crossing my fingers he does well this weekend.

Regarding TE's, I would go with Clark, SF defense kept Dallas TE's in check that last time they met, they actually have a decent Defense (not great though). Plus, Clark seems to get his looks from Manning, so I think that can happen again, especially against a terrible Cincy team (stinko).

Thanks for your help on mine.

I think I will go with Eli.

I didn't know about the weather being that bad, thanks for the heads up.

I'm actually thinking CLark and the Jets! SF QB, what's his name again, turns the ball over like 3 times a game. Plus the return threat is there with the Jets. As for the TE I went Clark just due to the shutdown that SF puts on TE's. Plus I think Clark has a better chance than Keller.

Good Luck!

Thanks for mine!

I am a little biased on you TE delima as I have Keller and I expect another solid game. This guy is going to be a good one for a while. On paper the Jets D is a no brainer, but Jacksonville has quit on this season so I would not argue using Chicago.

I like Keller here. Even when NYJ runs a lot and doesn't throw as much as epected, Keller is pretty productive due to Favre checking down to him. SF should be productive throwing against a porous NYJ pass D, so the Jets won't be able to lean nearly exclusively on the run game.

As for the D, the Niners are 3rd in Fantasy points allowed to D's but only 19th the last five weeks and 15th the last 3 weeks. Shaun Hill has cut down the turnovers and sacks.

So though Chicago's D has been a roller coaster (I have used them several times the last few weeks and only got one good outing vs. the Rams out of them), I'd like them vs. a warm-weather, offensive-line-hobbled Jax team. It'll be pretty cold in Chi-town, which will aid the Chi D. Also, Jax can't run consistently except when facing horrible run D's, and Chi's is 6th. So expect Garrard to have to throw; he hasn't been sacked much but is getting intercepted with some regularity. And forcing TO's is the Bears' forte (other than Matt Forte, sorry for the bad pun) so though they will probably give up some points, expect good turnover numbers from da Bearss.

Look at the stats.

If one is getting tds and the other not

go with that one.

Else Keller.

Are you f*cking serious?? OF COURSE, I'll look at the stats!!! People come on here to gain insight, perspective, and learn things that they might not catch otherwise. Look at the stats? Come on dude. If anyone has any real advice, I'd love to hear it... :shocking:

alright, you want some advice.

next time Provide more data about your situation then

You have two TE that are about identical in many aspects.

But this can mean absolutely nothing depending upon how streaky they are or are used.

Tie into this what your scoring system actually is.

Are you scoring 1 pt per 25 yds or .1 pt per yd.

This will be a huge difference.

This will nullify the td aspect, if the the TE is a possession receiver and get enough opps to get yards.

Most would see Clark, think his career stats and go that route alone.

Heck Keller is a rookie, what is that value?

Others might just look at the season stats.

OR get too fixated on the matchup.

A solid start is going to get looks no matter the reputation about shutting down TE's.

Favre likes a good receiving TE. This is predictable pattern throughout his career.

But lets look at the numbers last 4 weeks going from most recent.

I am in a league that scores .1 pt per yard and 6 pt per td and will use these states.

Clark 2.4, 3, 4.4, 8.4

Keller 7.7, 4.2, 8.7 16.7

Clark 3, 8, 10, 9 = attempts to

Keller 12, 10, 10, 7

Clark 2, 6, 5, 3 = receptions

Keller 7, 6, 8, 6

both are

0,0,0,1 = td receptions

Of the two clubs. Which is most in sync?

Jets or Colts?

I would say Jets.

I say start Keller.

I would start Keller for sure , favre loves this guy looks his way alot and has alot of confidence in his catching ability , Keller is Favre's safety valve when no one is open.

your D is a much harder choice, at first glance the Bears look to be the one you should start but if it was me i would start the jets d vs the 49ers a better matchup in my opinion plus i wouldn't be surprised if Leon Washington takes a punt return to the house.

And no i'm not a Jets fan

Goodluck bro!!!!
