RicemanX 20 Posted April 12, 2009 Posted this in the MMA forums I post at, but I thought some of you would appreciate this too: So I went to my first live MMA show tonight and it was absolutely amazing. Paid $170 for 2nd row seats on the floor and it was worth every penny. I was starstruck every second of the show...especially with Gina Carano and Tom Atencio sitting at WHISPERING distance from me. Highlight of the night for me was when they were introducing Cyborg and I said, "She's got nothing on you Gina." She turn around and gave me a smile. <3. Saw a lot of fighters there. The hometown dudes, Cung Le and Jake Shields. Tito was there with his 5 man entourage, all in suits. Royce Grace is still walking around like he owns the place. Overeem was there and he looked HUGE. Babalu, Josh Thompson, Kevin Randleman, Bas Rutten. Most interesting person there was Ryan Bader...I thought UFC guys weren't allowed to make appearances at other fight cards. Interesting. What was cool was ALL of the fighters were very generous to the fans. Of course Tito wanted his ego tickled, so he walked right into a giant crowd to sign autographs and take pictures. But you could have approached any fighter and asked for an autograph or picture and they were very cool with it. The atmosphere was great, I loved the energy of the whole pavilion. ALL the fights were great. I can't really go into too much detail about it because I was kinda drunk and it was harder to see through the cage compared to HD tv. So I'm sure you all would know better than me. Overall, I had a great time. I would strongly recommend strikeforce live to all MMA fans. Oh, and Nick Diaz is a d1ck and I love it. Gina, seriously sitting 5 feet away from me. http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-sn...2_1795926_n.jpg Royce Grace http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-sn...4_1737231_n.jpg Babalu sitting down, trying to work his magic with Gina, for the record, she left with Arlovski at the end of the night. http://photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-sn...6_1659559_n.jpg Mickey Rourke talking with Overeem http://photos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-sn...7_5182263_n.jpg Robbie Lawler talking with Tom Atencio http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-sn...9_7763630_n.jpg Babalu talking with Tom Atencio http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-sn...0_8380994_n.jpg Arlovski http://photos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-sn...1_7031119_n.jpg
