gram 0 Posted April 29, 2009 do you have to keep one of them??? i would go mccallister if i had to in my particlular league lawson was the 99th lb...he might be young, but i dont know if he is going to get any better hester: charger drafted gatrell johnson who is quite good...so hester will be pretty much worthless mccallister: he's age 30...and who knows where he might end up....maybe he might end up in like seattle or gb...then he might be worth it...but he has the best chance in the 3...but its pretty much pretty slim
MTSkiBum 1,620 Posted April 29, 2009 I am sure i could find someone on the WW that i would rather have than any of those 3. This was posted march 22 though 49ers defensive coordinator Greg Manusky will continue to run a true 3-4 defense after scrapping Mike Nolan's "hybrid 3-4" scheme.Manusky made the switch in the second half of last season, and the Niners' defense improved by almost 10 points per game. The true 3-4 should benefit Manny Lawson, who has added 15 pounds and is expected to add a pass rushing presence on the outside. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...NFL&id=3692
Little Big Head 6 Posted April 30, 2009 id easily keep Lawson out of those three, but id be looking at the ww too(as Skibum said)
MTSkiBum 1,620 Posted May 5, 2009 While the Niners continue to have high hopes for former first-round OLB Manny Lawson, who has primarily been a one-down player up to now, there are some daily team observers who have their doubts he can ever become a true impact player, even though he has bulked up from 235 to 250 pounds. “He’s just too much of a long-strider,” said one team insider. “You need quicker, shorter steps to get that pass-rush burst.” found this as well http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW/The+W...rapup042609.htm
Little Big Head 6 Posted May 6, 2009 found this as well http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW/The+W...rapup042609.htm They are saying Lawson will be a 3 down player and could post 7-9 sacks I'll take that easily over the other options listed. Probably search rotoworld. I can't post links from my phone

That being said, hester is worth nothing. I dont generally consider keeping defensive players unless they are the best or second best in the league at their position. otherwise, defensive players are a dime a dozon, so I think Lawson is out. Little Big Head 6 Posted May 9, 2009 Mcallister is toast, and worthless right now. Lawson at least has some upside. Id be shocked if there werent better options on waivers
Little Big Head 6 Posted May 9, 2009 found this as well http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW/The+W...rapup042609.htm The 49ers plan to use left outside linebacker Manny Lawson as an every-down player this season. Lawson had three sacks as mostly a "nickel" linebacker last year, but played hurt. He could jump into the 7-9 sack range as a healthy three-down player.Source: Santa Rosa Press Democrat
WhoDat 1 Posted May 13, 2009 Mcallister is toast, and worthless right now. Lawson at least has some upside. Id be shocked if there werent better options on waivers LBH, with 16 temas and 42 roster spots on each team (672 players).... there just isnt that much talent on the waiver wire. For what it's worth, I grabbed M.Lawson.
