When he comes back you never know who is going to get the carries in NO's now. with Gore you have a clear cut #1 rb and you get a WR1 with CJ. so id take Gore and CJ and Washington can fill in when needed and if Jones ever gets hurt you have another stud. answer mine here please help Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

BigMilk 40 Posted September 16, 2009 Its a good deal. Gore is a clear #1, Pierre Thomas is hurt and not a feature guy when healthy (and could be benched more in favor of Bell the longer he is out). Megatron is obviously a beast and you'll have a real nice crew of WRs. I don't think as much of Leon as some others but who cares. He's gravy in this trade. jared7683 0 Posted September 16, 2009 I'm not so worried about Pierre though guys...Kevin Smith and DWIll are my starting RBs...so basically it is Calvin and Gore for AJ and Smith in a PPR league...you have to remember, Smith had 9..yes...9 targets in the passing game...that is what is really holding me back...AJ is better than Calvin...but is Gore any better than Smith, or better enough for me to pull the trigger... I think this is worth it, but I can't comment in terms of a PPR league very much because I don't play in one. I know that I've had Gore for three years and he gets his share of receptions (maybe 45-50 a year), but in those three years he's been a good back to have when he's healthy. I think you're getting a step up from Smith to Gore and Thomas to Washington. I'm not sold that CJ is a step up from AJ, but 2 out of 3 isn't bad. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
ping 0 Posted September 17, 2009 I would also lean towards accepting the trade offer. Gore, to me, is more valuable than Kevin Smith. Neither of their teams are great, but I expect that SF will be "in" more games than Detroit. As such, Gore should figure more into the game plan than Smith. While I don't necessarily see Calvin Johnson as better than Andre Johnson, I...once again....would expect to see Detroit behind in more games than Houston and, as such, see more balls going to Calvin Johnson. With that being said, AJ is a beast also and had a "ton" of catches last year in PPR, so...ultimately, you've got a tough decision to make and one that you'll go back and forth on each week for the rest of the year (barring injury). You'll always be wondering either "Why didn't I?" or "Why did I?" Make a decision on this one and stick to it...nothing more you can do. Thanks for mine! I would do it. I think Calvin and Andre are about the same. But Gore is the #1. Pierre Thomas - who knows once he comes back. It could be Mike Bell. ChazzyCelotts 1 Posted September 17, 2009 Ya dude, take this trade and Roll. I just let go of Gore for rodgers becuz i had so much rb depth, but would have loved to keep him. Do that trade. Megatron is a STUD, and while i know that Andre will get going, u gotta like Calvin because every year he does well without a qb. With time i feel like stafford can become a pretty good qb, with a huge arm. Take the trade and reap the benefits. Oh yah and leon washington is pretty much a lock to give u 10-15 pts a week in a PPR format just because of the 4 or 5 catches for 30-40 yards he will get. DO IT!
