Trying to unload Portis.......Is this a good trade?

I have been trying to unload Portis for the past week with no success. I have an opportunity to do so now with the following:

I was offered Slaton/S.Holmes for Portis/Colston. I'm pretty convinced that Slaton turns things around plus this is a 1 PPR league so I think he has much more value. That said, am I giving up too much losing Colston for Holmes?

Tough one the way Colston has performed, but I'd pull the trigger. Slaton will only get better and his pass catching ability also helps. Holmes will also be solid, and the fact that Brees throws it around to everyone will eliviate some of the pain for letting go of MC!

This trade looks good overall. Edge to Colston....for now. I think Slaton is on the rise & obviously an upgrade over portis. Holmes, although not the receiver Colston is, has fewer people to contend with.....don't forget NO has Moore coming back soon. It also looks like PITT will throw the ball more this year....especially if willy has a lingering toe issue. Long term...I think you make out here.

Thanks for mine. I also have a similar opinion regarding Colston/Holmes. I think the way the Steelers schedule looks and ease in which they throw the ball and with what I here Sweed being benched as well will only iprove Holmes Roth connection. Slaton as others have stated will only get better. Portis with his bone spurs will be suffering all year and that offensive line, I wish I would have not selected him as my #2.

DO IT ABSOLUTELY ....Losing portis for slaton slaton will turn it around washington's o line sux....now colston is in the high powered offense but he is more injury prone...and pittsburgh is throwing the ball more this year...santonio will produce solidly (plus coach tomlin unhappy with other receivers dropping balls) and their running game totally blows...go for it ... thanks for advice

I do this trade if I am you. Buy low on Slaton who will turn it around. Get rid of Portis who will not. And S Holmes is definitely a worthy starter. Sure Colston has looked good, but Brees spreads the ball so he's no guarantee anyway. Do it.

this is a very even trade...

 

as of right now i say the RBs are a wash... and i'd give a slight edge to colston for WRs...

 

if you are that excited to get rid of portis i'd go for it...

 

If slaton turns it around you come out big... if not... i still doubt you'd have any regrets about the trade
