KC Carnage 0 Posted October 23, 2009 Hey, this is my first post. I am in a 12 team league on ESPN. Positions are QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, RB/WR, TE, K, DEF/ST. I had a bad draft, and my high picks are under-performing (Matt Forte, Steve Smith). I was hoping I can get some advice on where to go with some rebuilding. I am currently 1-5 and last place in my division, 10th overall. My Roster Blue = Drafted Green = Picked up QB Philip Rivers, SD QB Kyle Orton, Den RB Matt Forte, Chi RB Jamal Lewis, Cle RB Mike Bell, NO RB Correll Buckhalter, Den RB Justin Fargas, Oak WR Steve Smith, Car WR Chad Ochocinco, Cin WR Steve Breaston, Ari WR Miles Austin, Dal WR Mohamed Massaquoi, Cle TE Greg Olsen, Chi TE Heath Miller, Pit D/ST Ravens K David Akers So, as you can see, I am hurting at RB, but I have some potential there. I have some depth at TE and QB, I really don't need two at each position of that high of quality. Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this mess? I was offered Matt Cassel and Larry Fitzgerald for Phillip Rivers and Steve Breaston, and I like the idea, but I am not sold on Orton being able to keep up the numbers to be my #1 QB. I turned that down and counter offered with Matt Cassel and Ryan Grant for Kyle Orton and Correll Buckhalter (he has Knowshon Moreno), but I haven't heard back yet. Also, I need a defense for this week (Ravens BYE), any thoughts on who to drop? Any thoughts? I will be sure to offer my advice for anyone who has a comment. Thanks! jdibella 0 Posted October 23, 2009 I wouldn't take that trade -- Rivers is a stud and will put up solid numbers every week. I wouldn't be too concerned, I know your 1 and 5 but your team is just filled with underperformers. You won't be able to get their value at this time so just stick it out and hope for the best. They allow alot of points (which doesn't greatly affect me in my league) but they force turnovers and have Cribbs threatening to score each game. And also was wondering if my WR lineup looked good. Not sure who's left for D's but Browns might be good. As a Packer fan, can say Rodgers might be good for an interception and their O-line has been giving up a lot of sacks. Still may be a wash if they score high... Only one I can see is Olsen to drop (one problem, will have to pick up a TE for next week and not sure in a 12 team league if Olsen will be there - still, there's gotta be someone for one week out there). KC Carnage 0 Posted October 23, 2009 Well, I ended up dropping Mohamed Massaquoi and picking up the Raiders D, hopefully I can pick him up again next week seeing as how I will be high on the waiver list....
