Why hasn't south korea gone to war against north korea?

I'm pretty sure if any country sunk one of our ships, the country wouldn't be around for more than a week or two.

Try looking at a map. The SK capital is extremely close to the DMZ. NK has hundreds of guns/cannons/etc that could decimate the city upon any attack/provocation.

Cause they're dying for a reason to blow both of them up. That's why they keep trying to provoke SK.

Because just like Israel, S Korea is a puppet regime controlled by the USA. Until we give them the go a head the will do nothing and like it. :bandana:

In a word.....China......

North Korea exists only because of China, is able to survive (albeit barely) because of China.....South Korea needs the USA for its own protection, so ultimately the fate of the two Koreas is decided by the USA and China....

Long term I think China would like to find a way to move North Korea off the books, let the two nations unite, even if its into something less Communist, and perhaps more Socialist....

Tibet and North Korea are festering sores on the Chinese domestic agenda.
