ping 0 Posted September 11, 2010 My lineup is included in my signature. This is a 1 point/reception PPR league. I can start 1 to 2 RB's. This week, I plan to start 2 of the following 3 RB's (T. Jones will be kept in reserve): Michael Turner @ Pittsburgh - tough run defense, but hard to bench my 1st round pick (right?) Jamaal Charles vs San Diego - will Thomas Jones be the starter...how will the carries be split? Jerome Harrison @ Tampa Bay - horrible run defense (last year) in Tampa. Harrison should get the majority of the carries. Do I go this way? Your thoughts would be appreciated. Leave a link and I'll respond to yours. Thanks! Lake209 43 Posted September 12, 2010 Yeah, I'm just not buying that any Cleveland Brown RB is going to produce, although I certainly respect the match-up problem here. First, don't bench J. Charles...you should look up his ppc average on the net...then recognize that he is doing this...in Kansas City... I think he's an every-week beast. I hate Turner's match-up too...but if it makes you feel any better, he should be good for 3-4 receptions in this game. Assuming you get points for TD's...naturally Turner is the goalline man. Maybe ATL goes up big in this one (w/Dixon stinking it up for Pitt) and runs it out late?...I could see that??... I just couldn't bring myself to start Harrison over Turner...under any circumstances. ping 0 Posted September 12, 2010 I pretty much HAVE to stick with Turner at this point. I am not expecting a huge game out of him, but, yes, I do believe that he'll be the goal line guy amd could get me a TD or two. The real decision, in my mind, is whether I start J. Harrison or J. Charles. It looks like your vote is 100% Jamaal Charles. Thanks...and, although it shouldn't matter, I do like the idea of having an option available in the MNF game. Any other thoughts out there? Candygram4Mongo 8 Posted September 12, 2010 I wouldn't over-think this. Turner is a stud. Yes, he does not catch the ball, but he does play in a great offense and will get the ball into the end zone. While there is a lot of speculation about Charles losing some carries to TJ, do not let them scare you into putting him on the bench. The man has moves and speed, and Cassel will check down to him often. He played well against SD last year too. Its real nice of you to include Harrison in this discussion, but he really doesn't belong. You want consistency, and there is no one on the Browns at this point that you want to be relying upon to win you a game. Even against the Bucs. see mine
Gang23Greene 0 Posted September 12, 2010 i'd go with turner and charles.
madd futher mucker 36 Posted September 12, 2010 Both Harrison and Charles have great match-ups here and are PPR plusses to boot. McCluster is doubtful, so Charles becomes even more valuable. Quit worrying so much about T Jones. Turner has always been a munus in PPR format and has a very tough match-up. This is one time I'd go against the grain - Easy choice for me: Charles and Harrison. Highland Chargers 0 Posted September 12, 2010 I would roll Harrison...great match up and people seem to forget that he rocked over 20 pts in 4 of the last 5 games last year! The real question is whether or not Charles will do better than Jones...and Turner.
