Opinions on some trade options

Recommended Posts

Ok so I lost Grant and am huting at rb depth. Most of my depth is in the wr area but I also have a couple qb's to bargain with. I'm thinking of proposing a trade to the guy who just picked up Jackson because he has a ton of depth on his team especially at rb. Here's who he has and my team is in my sig. It's a std scoring non ppr league.

His team looks like:

Shcaub/Stafford

Gore/Benson/P.Thomas/B.Jackson/LT

Marshall/Garcon/Nicks/Maclin/Washington,TO

Witten

I'm thinking of offering up Eli Manning for one of his rb's prob either Jackson or Thomas cuz I don't think he'll go for Benson. He can then upgrade at backup qb if Schaub doesn't work out. But out of the two would you go for Jackson or Thomas, I'd obviously take Benson if he would do it.

I was also offered Eli Manning for McFadden. Not sure about this since Bush will be back soon. Thoughts?

Start high and negotiate down. Heck, ask for Gore; he had a bad week, maybe the guy is ready to bail on him.

Hey, this just occurred to me. Seeing that the guy has Pierre Thomas, and I assume the Bush on your roster is Reggie and not Michael... How about offering Reggie and Garrard for Gore? If you land that, then do the McFadden for Eli trade as well. You can pick up any scrub to backup Brady at QB, and now your RB corp is Frank Gore, Steven Jackson, Jahvid Best and Darren McFadden.

If he won't take Garrard, you can offer Manning, and then hope maybe the other guy will take Garrard for McFadden. If not, you've still upgraded your three RBs, but you'll need a sub in Week 9, when Jackson and Gore share a bye.

You're welcome.

Thanks for seeing mine.

Just so I'm clear, this guy has P. Thomas, S. Jackson, C. Benson AND F. Gore? Man, and I thought I was stacked...

Make the offer, although to be honest if I were him, I'd wait for something better. That's really good depth and while Schaub owners can't be 100% certain that he's going to play 16 games, I might be tempted to wait for a package deal--especially something that would help his pretty weak WR depth.

Sorry that's Brandon Jackson.

I like Pierre Thomas, but because he just picked up Jackson he will probably be willing to trade him so go for Jackson first. If he refuses to trade Pierre or Jackson then maybe getting LT is not a bad idea...he is going to carry the ball a lot more than expected and the Jets will run a lot more with Sanchez struggling. LT and Greene could end up with numbers similar to Panthers of last year.

I actually like DMC the Oline is better they play in a weak division and have a weak out of confrence schedule he had 95 yrds on 18 carries so he is getting the work and producing , I think he can make the leap to top ten back, you wont start eli over brady anyway, but he would be getting the better overall point producer, dont see anyone dropping Gore after one week his owners know he is hit and miss they went down early and had to try to pass the ball, not SF strength obviously, the question to me is who will produce more jackson in a good offense or DMC in OAK offenses seems like jackson would be the more productive

I'd go for B. Jackson, coach is very high on him, plus he is a every down back on a very explosive offense. P. Thomas is also on a high powered offense but will be giving up playing time to Bush.
