BigBlue7 0 Posted November 17, 2011 Has anyone flipped Bowe lately? What did you get in return? This situation has gone from not good to scary. I've been trying to think of a good swap but can't come up with one. Right now I have him benched in favor of Vjax, manningham, d moore and laurent robinson. Had my chance to trade him for A Brown but the owner bailed after last week. Anyone think it's going to get better and that he can retain his low end WR1 status? PATSSOX 22 Posted November 17, 2011 I acquired him before last week Im giving him one more start mainly because it is on Monday night and they are playing vs the Patriots bad pass defense. Even though the Pats played good vs Jets they still suck. If im deciding between 2 players and one plays on Monday night ill pick him. Im starting him over Laurent Robinson. But this is last time if he puts up just 1 pt again.
BigBlue7 0 Posted November 17, 2011 Might be smart to make that play this week. Washington has been tough on WR's. I don't see this getting better and i'm mad I didn't cut bait earlier. Haven't heard anyone say they think he can turn it around. It's the last day to trade in our league and so far i've been shot down on every offer i've made. Even Bowe for Lloyd (which i thought might happen). I'm stuck with him now. If anyone else has him, trade him now before it's too late.
Turf Nazi 0 Posted November 17, 2011 I just picked up L. Robinson and will most likely start him over Bowe.
Jules 0 Posted November 17, 2011 I have Bowe and picked up Robinson also, now debating. Think it's more of a question of which QB I can rely on more this week.
Squintz82 45 Posted November 17, 2011 Had him for 3 weeks, and I'm 100% benching him this week. Monday night has dud written all over it. Even if he is targeted a bunch in that game, I can't see the Chiefs getting into the red zone, not to mention Palko doesn't throw the ball deep at all. Also, NE has had a decent defense lately and they are playing at home. There's a reason that the Pats DST is a top 5 start on a ton of rankings this week. My prediction is 3 catches for 25 yards. PATSSOX 22 Posted November 23, 2011 Kyle Orton - QB - Broncos The Chiefs are considering submitting a waiver claim on Kyle Orton, a source tells NFL.com's Steve Wyche. Although the Chiefs are only two games out of first place in the AFC West, they aren't realistic threats to win the division. But if they stick with Tyler Palko at quarterback, they might not win another game all year. The addition of Orton would be a major boost to Dwayne Bowe and the entire passing game. The Chiefs are ahead of the Bears and behind the Colts in the waiver process. Stewburtx8 67 Posted November 23, 2011 Please claim Orton PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESE Bowe did have 7 catches for 87 yards with Palko but i want Orton I saw this this morning and am really hoping the Chiefs make the claim. Todd Haley is fighting for his job, so I am sure he will do what he can to make it happen.

I personally think someone else will take him before they get the option.
Squintz82 45 Posted November 23, 2011 makes sense. but will orton fall that far in the waiver wire? I personally think someone else will take him before they get the option. Don't think any team with a better position is willing to pay the remainder of his contract. Most teams down that low are out of contention
Stewburtx8 67 Posted November 23, 2011 makes sense. but will orton fall that far in the waiver wire? I personally think someone else will take him before they get the option. I think he may fall all the way to the Bears at 30th if the Chiefs don't make a play. He will cost a team almost $3 million just for the REST of this season. The teams ahead of the Chiefs are Indy, Carolina, St Louis, Minny, Arizona, Redskins, Jaguars, Dolphins. All of these teams are pretty much eliminated. The Chiefs are only 2 games back in the division and may talk themselves in to believing they got a chance. As I mentioned, Haley is also fighting for his job. But my guess is he ends up in Chicago. SNZ11 5 Posted November 23, 2011 Chiefs claimed Kyle Orton off waivers from the Broncos. The Cowboys and Bears also reportedly made claims. Orton represents a massive upgrade over Tyler Palko under center for the Chiefs, but hinted through back-channels he wouldn't report if claimed by Kansas City. A messy situation could be about to unfold, but it's ultimately unlikely Orton sits out. The Chiefs are on the hook for his remaining $2.58 million in salary either way. If he does report, he's worth an immediate flier in two-QB leagues, and should help resuscitate the value of Dwayne Bowe, Jonathan Baldwin and Steve Breaston. The Bears will now officially attempt to make the playoffs on the back of Caleb Hanie. Related: Bears

R8RMick 242 Posted November 24, 2011 As a Raider fan I don't like this at all. I'd like it even less if it happened two weeks ago. While I don't think they can catch Oakland, I detest any team in the AFC West and want nothing but pain and misery for their fans. This gives the KC fans a glimmer of hope, and I want to see that flicker of light doused. Anyway, I digress. I'm a big Kyle Orton guy, and think he could even beat out Cassell if it came to that next season. I've got Balwin in a keeper league, and am anxious to see how this shakes out. Whether they bring opie back next year, and whether they re-sign Bowe.
