Ray_T 753 Posted December 16, 2012 Yea I wasn't gonna play him anyway. Maybe he will be the backup? not surprising. I've been educating myself to the degree that I can because my opponent has RGIII and I was thinking about starting the Cleveland defense which is a deceptively good defense. Naturally if RGIII played, I'd be inclined to rethink that choice, but I dont see why I wouldnt start them against a rookie QB.
KryptonKnights 6 Posted December 16, 2012 All the video they posted of him today in practice, he looked good & didn't appear to have any limp. But I have the same fear that many other owners have posted about that he starts the game & takes one hit which re-aggravates the injury & gets pulled. Only problem I have is that I'd be starting Romo vs. the Steelers defense instead of RGIII. Not a fun situation to be in. Romo has been on a tear lately. It is against the Steelers D this week but the Bengals have a pretty solid D this season and probably a better pass rush than Pittsburgh this season and he was able to perform against them. I would think if there is any real concern about Romo it would be the availability of Dez Bryant.
Arsenal 3 Posted December 16, 2012 Rotoworld: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Robert Griffin III (knee) will not start Sunday's game against the Browns. According to Schefter, the Redskins informed Kirk Cousins that he will be the starting quarterback during a team meeting on Saturday. Griffin, who practiced in a limited capacity this week, failed to earn medical clearance after it was determined that he could further damage his knee by playing. Cousins practiced with the first-team offense throughout the week and will make his first career start after coming off the bench last Sunday to lead the Redskins to an overtime victory over the Ravens. Griffin is targeting a Week 16 return.
Shock 0 Posted December 16, 2012 Since RGIII is out I'm going to roll with Kaepernick. Hopefully he'll be a worthy substitute. I'm glad the decision is out of my hands whether to start him this week.

I'm glad the decision is out of my hands whether to start him this week. I think this is actually good news for RGIII owners. He was able to run around in non-contact drills this week which shows the injury isn't real serious but the week off should make the knee even stronger for next week. Hopefully he will get clearance to play next week and I will feel better after the time off.
Arsenal 3 Posted December 16, 2012 I think this is actually good news for RGIII owners. Its only good if I don't get eliminated this week!
Birk 14 Posted December 16, 2012 well now i have to start Wilson or Weeden, help!
KryptonKnights 6 Posted December 16, 2012 Its only good if I don't get eliminated this week! Well that is true. But IMO it's better knowing that he isn't starting this weekend than getting a late scratch or having him start and not be effective because of the knee since he relies so heavily on his mobility. I would be even worse if he only lasted a series or two because the knee becomes swollen following a sack.
fugoondo 3 Posted December 16, 2012 What u guys think this does for the CLE D? Vault them to a Tier 1 Def? Or WAS goes conservative and any points will b more about points allowed then turnovers and such

Cleveland has a better defense and I think it will be a low scoring event

I'd rather go down swinging with my stud QB who has carried me to the #1 seed, rather than getting knocked out of the playoffs with Bradford, Weedon, or Cousins.... Lacoop 0 Posted December 16, 2012 god i dont know if i should start weeden or wilson I would think wilson would throw more, ugh...help please I'm forced to start Weedon, but I know if I had Russell Wilson I'd roll with him in a heartbeat. Wilson can get you some yards running and he's been playing well of late. I'm hoping for a serviceable 15 points out of Weedon, I fear that he's going to handoff a lot to Richardson. My alternative is Henne who just is too hit or miss.
Adrianheh 0 Posted December 16, 2012 For me its now Cousins or Weeden. We know Weeden's ceiling is low... and therefore I am actually considering Cousins. Faaaaahk.
thePRO 78 Posted December 16, 2012 I'm hoping the Raiders have a breakout game and Palmer goes for 350 and 4 TDs.....FML.
