Supreme Court Rules: Racism Against Asians, Whites Legal

I was really expecting better. Terrible outcome. I'm seriously disappointed. :(

I should have seen the writing on the wall when they took the Michigan case. I just couldn't believe they'd keep it. Well, if you're not going to sh*tcan AA outright, bless them for taking it then. They have 12 years to get rid of it before my kids- soon to be renamed LaQusiha and Barkevious- start to apply, but it sucks for all those kids today who will still be discriminated against like all whites and asians have been for 40 years.

It's especially disappointing since this court with this makeup was out best hope for ending it. Obama may well stuff the court with AA racists like the wiseass Latina he put in there the time before last and likely Kagen is as well.

From what I've read, this ruling actually makes it a lot tougher for affirmative action programs to pass legal scrutiny, even though it did not do away with affirmative action altogether.

If you're opposed to affirmative action, you should probably be in support of this ruling. Not a death blow but it's a pretty solid hit.

Bullsh*t. Nothing changes except the drapes. 'After' looks exactly the same as' before'. It won't change a d@mn thing, admissions offices don't even need to talk about this ruling at their next meeting. They can still quietly discriminate as always. That race box should be banned from college admission applications. That didn't happen. Just give the colleges a pass.

The courts have been striking down AA in all places, this the the biggest one and they refused to do so. I'm seriously disappointed I expect better from them. Snd why should I ever agree with Sonia Sotomayer on AA? She supports this ruling and she is the archangel of evil on all things AA related. The voice of institutional racism. It permeates her soul.

I can't believe we had a great chance to end this today and punted. The Dems are locking down the White House, it's only a matter of time before Scalia or Kennedy get replaced by a full-throated proud racist like Sotomayer.

Now I get it. Your children are Asian, not real bright and may be passed over by an African American to get into college.

Sorting kids by race and refusing kids' admissions to school because they have the wrong skin color is hugely, morally wrong. I certainly don't see why my kids or anyone else's should be discriminated against in any circumstance.

It'd probably benefit your kids. Have them write a personal essay about how growing up in China shaped their perspective and provided them with a diversified view. Boom, admissions people will eat it up.

Libs use to love the whole judging people on the content of their character, not the color of their skin thingy.

Not so much these days.

This has zero to do with Affirmative Action. Also, I'm not at all convinced that admitting to being half Asian is a good thing. The "Asian" box is the death kneel of college admissions.

But that may not matter because suddenly I feel really Hispanic. Due to my sudden religious conversion a few minutes ago, I learned through prayer and meditation that that in a previous life, I fought alongside Simon Bolivar to liberate South America. I'm pretty sure I also picketed with Caeser Chavez because I have a great fondness for grapes. I can't stand to wear a Che Guevara t-shirt so, sadly, that one's out.

Hold on, I'm going to look up the significance of Cinco de Mayo right now. Bring on the salsa!
