Zap 0 Posted September 3, 2004 The FRAFT is Wednesday night, live, 25 rounds, 6pm PST I've seen several of you lurking at the bottom today, and would like a brief acknowledgement of my thoughts on this league this season. So, it's just a roll call, but I want to share. I fockin' love fantasy football, but I learned a few years ago to limit my leagues because I went way overboard, mismanaged a few, and just well... you know wasn't getting laid during football season. My limit is three. I have this one, a local San Diego/Family/FBG league, and I convinced FFT geek, The Moz, the mirror his IDP league rules to ours and joined. That was supposed to be it for me. Moz's league has gone to hell, because the commish dropped out and there is no way to enforce the mandatory DL. Lots of angry members and few playing by the agreed upon rules. No biggy. It was a freebie too. We drafted early and I hate my team, but will play along as if the rules are being used... just out of obstinance mostly. Still I'm not into that league. The local league broke up over a couple members not having the time, another getting married and having a kid and another moving to Alaska. So, I joined TORAL here, but it is The Official Rat's Ass League, and I'll do my best, but it's mostly for grins and entertainment with my fellow geek brethren. I know, stop the Gent's this is the only league I really care about this season. So please, let's have a successful draft without it being FUBAR. That would suck for me, and we are risking it by having it sooo late and running it live. I'm tempted to go with the chat because of some funkiness in the fanball room, but it is easier and does track teams and the player pool for us. So one last time... Tell me you have no schedule conflicts, will be prepared and on the mother for 25 fast rounds, and let me know if the faster chat or more complete fanball room is your preference. I'll wait til all respond, providing all respond by this time tomorrow, to set up the fanball room if that is the preference, or I will go with the chat, which will be faster if you're all prepared. Today, i went out to hope depot (pronounced "home depo" ) and bought myself a water-proof body suit, one of those life-size plastic bubbles (bubble-boy) and bought a brand new wireless laptop. I may be a-flyin in the air, rolling down the street, floatin in the ocean, but NOTHING will stop me from frafting on the 6th i just may have to be Frances's b1tch for the day Seriously though, i dont give a rats-ass where we draft. This is the ONLY league i take seriously. I learned to cut down my leagues this year, cause last year i had like 4-6 and that was waaay too many. Im in 2 this year, and put more preparation into this one, so you b!tches better be ready . The only reason i come to this board now is to check this forum and get the people on the main board all wild up. I read some of the post and think to myself, only if these people knew the truth lol. teddyt 0 Posted September 5, 2004 I'm here, I'm in, and I'm ready for Wednesday... Chat room is ok for me, but it's been very fickle the few times I've played around with it. When I get home tonight I'll try and see if I can adjust my settings to iron out some of the bugs... I'll keep you posted if I have major problems...if you don't hear from me assume all is good... A lot of people had problems with the GOIDPANKAL chat, including PIK. Descriptions of problems from various people were as follows: it's not working for me.i type in my name and click the enter chatroom button, but nothing happens :-( him: I couldn't get into it. I typed a name and clicked Enter and nothing happened.me: Did you try clicking the Enter Chatroom button? Pressing Enter doesn't do anything but clicking on the button does (for me). him: Clicking the button does nothing. I was able to get in the second time I tried it. pik: When I clik on enter nothing happens. It does say applet started on the bottom but the enter stays there and nothing happens. Zap 0 Posted September 7, 2004 I'm going to check out the RB fraft tonight (PIK and vlade's other league). It will give me an idea of what to expect in our draft irt format and how it goes in that chat compared to a fanball draft. I watched a 22 rounder at fanball over the weekend and it was done in two hours (2:04 to be exact). All 12 members were there and two were a little slow, but it moved along nicely. He used a five minute timer and there were two picks timed out in the 2 hours. If we could be that fast and prepared, I would be most pleased. I smell the cut grass of football season.
