On the other hand, every time I watch it, I can't help but be pissed at the zipperheaded slopes that sneak-attacked us. Most war films have two sides to it. Vietnam was a focking joke in the regard. So many others too. Japan doesn't have that justification. When it comes to the Japs sneak attacking us, and us ultimately turning them into a GD economic superpower, it just pisses me off to this day. We apologize every year for the bomb (which we warned them about) and for the occasional Naval Compton resident raping the random Jap Whoare, but when was the last time the Japs apologized for PH - or for the massive amounts of rapes they committed during WW2 upon Phillipine and Chinese women?
