regarding the maternal instinct genetically inherent in all women, it would follow that, at some point in their life, the "motherly" germ will infiltrate their conscience with the fact they sacrificed a child they otherwise could have nurtured. even a lie detector test can be manipulated when one tells themselves a lie for so long that it electrically becomes truth to them. all of us are awakened in the middle of the night when it is quiet by things that jolt our consciences. the thought of the laughter of a child or the dreams of what they could've been won't sit quietly forever.
