vuduchile 1,947 Posted March 2, 2017 Not if the douche who made the divot failed to repair it...then it is just an unrepaired divot. Where does one draw the line? I am a big believer in playing the ball as it lies unless it plugs. Technically, there's no such thing as a player "repairing" his divot. He can replace the chunk of turf he dug up, which does nothing but cover it up, since it will never gonna take root again. Or, he can do what he's supposed to and fill it with the sand provided. This allows the turf a chance to grow back over time, but doesn't really help the next guy who lands in it. That guy should be entitled to relief IMO.
