Saint Elistan 106 Posted April 13, 2017 I haven't watched wrestling since the age of Undertaker, Steve Austin, The Rock, Mick Foley, Kane, Sting... Are there many actual showmen like this guy still around? I haven't seen any of his wrestling, but he has "it" and almost makes me want to tune in for an episode for the first time in forever. NXT is honestly the best thing that's ever happened to WWE. A lot of the guys there are developing both mic skills and personalities. Bobby Roode is the next one that will hit the big time too. His entrance at NXT Takeover in Orlando was the same reaction from the crowd. Massive pop

tanatastic 2,062 Posted April 13, 2017 He's back isn't he? Thought I saw him on Smackdown? That's where he got hurt again. He got a concussion from the big roided dude botching a forearm in that match. I haven't watched wrestling since the age of Undertaker, Steve Austin, The Rock, Mick Foley, Kane, Sting... Nah not really, there is no one even close to Rock and Austin and maybe never will be again.

giraldi02 476 Posted April 13, 2017 No chance. Will never happen the problem is booking, which sounds like redundant criticism of the company. Rock and Austin were booked to be larger than life. The crowd loved it, fed off it, and they thrived. The key for them was: They were almost always involved in the primary storyline of the show. Everything was centered around the biggest pop guys. Nowadays, crowd favorites are buried or just involved in ridiculous story arches that deflates the crowd. Everything seems sloppily put together at the last minute so often. They shove Roman Reigns down peoples throats. The guy just cannot speak publicly. I don't know whether he's severely introverted or mildly retarded, but he should never pick up a mic again
