ToadSprocket 12 Posted May 16, 2017 I assume you guys have seen these commercials. I had never seen one installed until yesterday. At least I saw part of one. I was giving a homeowner a cost mark up on replacing their upper level Heat Pump, attic application.. There it was, partially complete. Of course I inquired about what I was seeing. The homeowners had it installed for their aging grandparent who was living there. The grandparent was not happy with it. Too slow and a bit unwieldy. Admittedly, she was a bit overweight but under the weight limit that the contraption called for.. And one of the children was riding it when they dragged their foot and tumbled right down the steps. The woman of the house was so angry that she ripped the chair portion loose by herself. It was lying nearby. As far as the cost, it was originally under a thousand dollars but the final price was $1899.00 Furthermore, if they are supposed to be so safe, whty did their homeowners insurance rate go up.
