fandandy 3,311 Posted August 19, 2019 Prolly an odd thread but I'm sure some of you have higher-end stereo equipment. I have an older Onkyo receiver that I use in the store. It works great and has more than enough power for the speakers but has always gotten very hot. I was looking on Amazon the other night and came across and ordered this. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LVW4SLP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Delivered today and I set it in place and plugged it in and holy crap this thing works great. The top of my receiver is now cool to the touch. Just a heads up in case anyone has similar issues.
lickin_starfish 1,482 Posted August 20, 2019 That looks neat, thanks. I have my AV equipment in a closet at the back of my living room. I also have an Onkyo receiver that runs warm. I mounted a crossflow fan behind it, a 200mm fan exhausts warm air out of the top of the closet, and I have central air pumped in through the bottom.
BiPolarBear 476 Posted August 21, 2019 I have this same issue, but use the receiver to keep my breakfast burrito warm.
