FantasyRetard 49 Posted September 22, 2019 This league I'm in has a Waiver setting of "Resets to Inverse Standings Order". This is new to me, and in researching at NFL.com, I found this information: Waiver Type Resets to Inverse Standings Order (weekly) Reset to Inverse Standings Order; Move to Last After Claim, Never Reset; Waiver Acquisition Budget The third box is the one that I found most confusing. So, if the league is "Resets to Inverse Standings Order, what does "Never Reset" mean? Does that mean that the Waiver order will never reset throughout the year? I asked the commissioner, but he's not responded, which makes me suspicious. Any advice here would help. Thanks.
AxeElf 787 Posted September 22, 2019 I have limited experience with NFL.com fantasy leagues, but I believe the third box is just listing the three waiver settings that are available, and the second box is the one that your league actually uses--the "Reset to Inverse Standings Order" setting, commonly known as "Worst to First" waivers. The "Move to Last After Claim, Never Reset" setting would be what is commonly known as a "Continual Rolling List" waiver setting, and of course the "Waiver Acquisition Budget" would be the setting for FAAB waivers. The strange part of this is that I've seen some minor changes, but some hold the spot constantly. For example, the guy with the #1 waiver priority made moves on both Friday and Saturday, yet he still holds the #1 Waiver priority spot. The 3 players who are 2-0 are 3rd, 4th, and 5th in Waiver Priority. If the setting is Inverse Standings Order, those 3 should be 10th, 11th, and 12th in Waiver Priority. This has my spider sense tingling.

If the 3 players who are 2-0 did not make any moves in the waiver period, but players who had higher priorities DID make moves (and were subsequently moved to the bottom of the list), that would explain why the undefeated teams moved up in waiver priority. Presumably the waiver order will reset again after this week's games.
Cretins 22 Posted September 22, 2019 We tried the "worst to first" strategy once. Everyone hated it and the next year we were right back to a rolling waiver. It adds an element of strategy as to when you want to burn a high priority.
