Good morning

Busy weekend for me. Crammed all the personal crap into Saturday, so I could travel to a co-workers wedding on Sunday. She got married in at 1:30 and the reception didn't start until 5:30 and there was only one bar in the entire town.  Think everyone at the wedding was crammed into that bar for about 3 hours waiting for the reception. Unless someone elopes, that's the last one I think I have to do this summer.  Woohoo.

On this day in 1998 "The Mask of Zorro" directed by Martin Campbell, starring Antonio Banderas, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Anthony Hopkins is released. And I learn who Catherine Zeta-Jones is...

Every geek have a great week.

First time in years I went fishing 3 straight days. I do not let that 115 heat index stop me from doing what I want to do.

The best day was Saturday because I took the kids out on the boat and they had a blast. They only caught catfish, but they caught lots of them. Yayyy hardheads!

They want to go fishing again next weekend which is music to my ears.

Not any plans, but the one thing I've learned over decades of weddings is that if I ever did get married? On the photographs and b*******? 95% of them are going to be taken either the day before or at least before the ceremony.

That's so stupid and such BS.  200 wedding guests sitting there twiddling  thumbs while the photographer takes 113 pictures of just the bridesmaids! Now the Grooms men! Now..

To me, that's just rude. You ask people to give up their Saturday afternoon in the first place. Don't ask them to set aside 7 hours or whatever for your big day.

And if there's no bar? Jesus. Have an open bar. To mitigate costs? Have a stock the bar party days prior.

Our entire wedding was 5k and not very long. No open bar, although to be honest we only had ~25 guests.

You are complaining about the wrong thing with weddings, why waste all that money on a wedding in the first place. Go cheap.
