Quote David Brooks takes a step back and evaluates some of the reasons why people might be opposed to Democratic policies and why they might like Trump. Honestly, I think this is a must read article for anyone on the left side of the political spectrum. I don’t think Brooks calls us out for making bad decisions out of malice, but rightly for ignoring the unintended consequences of policies that the left advocates for. When viewed through this lens, I think it shouldn’t be surprising why Republicans don’t find the indictments against Trump compelling. It’s just another front in an ongoing war against Trump and their way of life. I wonder, does he survive this? Is this kind of self-reflection even allowed?
