Da_Bears 14 Posted August 22, 2023 We are allowed to keep 1 player from last year’s draft from round 10 - 16. The player kept is that rounds player for this years draft. Player cannot be kept in back to back years ‘So, I drafted Mattison in round 10 and Lawrence in round 16.
Ray_T 752 Posted August 22, 2023 nice problem to have. what are the rules of your league? is it PPR? or Standard scoring? any unique features to the league that would affect the way we value a QB?
Da_Bears 14 Posted August 22, 2023 Half PPR for RB standard yardage pts. 4pt for QB TDs and standard yardage pts.
Ray_T 752 Posted August 22, 2023 while it is tempting to get Lawrence, he is the 10th ranked QB on the board. which could mean he may slide later into the draft. while I think he has the potential do do better than #10, the cost to re acquire should still be lower than Mattison. interestingly enough, when I checked fantasy pros, the ADP of both is almost the same. at the end of the day what it really comes down to is what your preference is... from a positional scarcity standpoint, RB is more rare. Most leagues have 2 RB starting slots, and Mattison is the 11th ranked RB based on ADP. Most leagues only start 1 QB and Lawrence on average is the 8th QB off the board. if you dont keep him Aaron Rodgers and Kirk Cousins are ranked #12 and #13 and could possibly out produce Lawrence this year. (both did last year) further down the list is Russell Wilson, Derek Carr and Stafford. see what I mean? and these guys likely have double digit Draft positions. unless you think Lawrence is a top 5 QB you probably shouldnt keep him. Just my opinion. I would keep Mattison.
