Two ppr questions

Recommended Posts

1. This week, Stroud or Levis?

2. Charbonnet came on the waiver wire. Is he worth a bench spot ahead of any of the following:

Starters: Stroud, Ekeler, Allen, Henry, A. Jones, Hopkins, D. Moore, Taysom (TE)

Bench: Kirk, Monty, Rice, G. Davis, Moss, McBride.

I do not need to carry 2 TEs.

Thanks and cheers.

I think you stick with Stroud in a tough matchup with the Bengals.  Levis is tempting against a Bucs D that just got torched, but that would be a bold move (and you would be going all-in on that turning out well since you already have Hopkins).  If this is a redraft league, you need a Walker injury for Charbonnet to have any value.  If you never expect to be starting Davis or Moss, it's probably a reasonable move to make.

Thank you. Yes redraft. Yes, I considered that with Levis as well. I'm in 7th I believe out of 10 so I might choose bold. I don't ever expect to start either of them. Moss is only a wish list if Taylor goes down. Davis is too unpredictable.

Play Stroud over Levis, for sure. Charbonnet is a “handcuff-plus” in the same vein as Moss, TSpears, JWarren, types - who see multiple snaps and score (small) points each week. Love to have these guys on the bench…but all need an injury in order to stud-up. That said, Walker is a bit banged up….  Do you have to carry 2 qb’s?  Why not drop Levis & get ZC?  If that’s not in the cards, you are simply rostering a player(s) & waiting for an injury to befall the starter. No shame in it…is part of the game.

If not Levis, maybe drop Rashee? I know he’s awesome & everyone wants him to pop, but minus a spike game here or there…Rice seemS unlikely to be better than a flex in most weeks, what with how KC spreads the ball.

Thank you for your response. I only have one qb.

You would drop Rice before G. Davis or Moss?

I don't need 2 TEs either. It's just that you don't know how long the Taysom train will last haha.

You can’t drop Taysom..unless he goes cold. He’s just too excellent at the moment. And: I’d see what you have in McBride upon Kyler’s return. Might be gold. You could package either in a trade; try to upgrade yourself at RB or WR.

Moss is basic the same dude as ZC. Same guy as Spears, Dowdle, Warren, etc. All @ great dart throws. All are a push…a pure guess at ‘future injury to a starter,’ so there is no need to rush out to make this move by dropping Moss.

With Davis, what’s to like is that 30% chance for a spike week. The ‘boom/bust’ potential can be frustrating, so is OK if you want to drop him for ZC. You lose the frustration (good), you lose the 3 outta 7 boom (meh), and you get a waiting game with ZC. <— like Moss, both Davis & ZC ride your bench in most weeks.

I get that many love Rice’s talent. If you are enthralled with his potential to break out & provide week to week consistency, dont drop him for the waiting game of ZC.  What i see in Rice is a great WR4 with WR3/WR2 potential in some weeks - and there are many more RRices in the league than there are excellent ‘handcuff plus’ RB’s, such as the ones mentioned here.

Great insight. Thank you. I'm not attached to Rice by any means.
