well, from what I heard there were reasons for the lower production in his senior year.

and sometimes non football things will bleed into production on the field too.    I did my homework and am satisfied that if you are gonna take a WR in round 2 he was probably as close to the best you can do.

Bowers might be the next Pitts.  Can’t miss TEs seem a little bit scary.  Raiders already own a good Te before Bowers’s.  They both are a pass in redraft leagues.

i'm surprised they went that direction.   but maybe the incumbent TE will be a good trade target for someone.   I think hes shown enough that there should be buyers.

He's not going to be the TE there, Mayer will be. Bowers will be that all purpose type that lines up all over the field and gives linebackers nightmares. Mayer is the one who's F'd. 

There should be a huge target share for Bowers, even with Minshew.

Sounds like Pitts , they said the same thing when he became a Falcon, interesting that like Pitts, Bowers goes to a team short on Qb talent.

Bowers is the complete package. The only thing that can stop Bowers from being great is bad QB play, that worries me a little.

So much talk about Bowers and I do not even think he is going to be the best TE of the class. The giants took Theo Johnson. Jones needs a TE as a safety outlet and Johnson is a Sam Laporta clone. 6ft6 with a 4.57 40 yard dash which is .4 seconds off Bowers time and 3 inches taller than bowers,  has him in wingspan  and hand size too. Looking at the tape Johnson has Bowers in almost every category

I still think Pitts can be good with a QB like Cousins but I doubt he'll ever be elite as advertised.

I dont know... the only legit NFL QB he had was Matt Ryan.   That was his rookie season.

year 2 he had Mariota/Riddler (mostly Mariota) and Year 3 Riddler/Heinecke

I'd be inclined to give the guy a chance with Cousins who actually can perform at the QB position.   I dont know that he puts up 1000 yards with cousins cuz he doesnt like to use his TE's the way Ryan did, but 800 is totally within reach.

he still got 600 yards receiving with the crappy QB play they had last year.  I think he will be fine.
