WHO HERE STILL SUPPORTS A VIOLENT LIBERAL INSURRECTION? šŸŒˆšŸ¦„

Oh ok, so you’ve moved the goalposts from

ā€it wasn’t insurrection if someone just took selfies on 1/6ā€

to

ā€1/6 was mostly just people taking selfies so there was no insurrection.ā€

I see you didn’t include the US code for insurrection:

2383. Rebellion or insurrection

Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

Ā

Once people (more than a ā€œsmall numberā€) started breaking down barriers, assaulting police officers which you acknowledge, and doing things like breaking windows or climbing through broken windows in order to get in, I don’t see the problem with calling that an insurrection. Ā To compare pulling some papers off a wall (especially since Rep Schneider says nothing about folks breaking into the building) toĀ 1/6 is something I’d expect from Tranny Overkill, but not you.

The difference between 1/6 and the ā€œsummer of loveā€ to me was the fact that 1/6 occurred at the nation’s capital and of course was specificallyĀ planned around protesting the transfer of the President. Ā YesĀ there was some damage to government buildings during the summer of love, but for one they weren’t really protesting ā€œthe government,ā€ andĀ I’d betĀ that much of the damage done wasn’t done by people that were protestingĀ at all but rather criminals just capitalizing on an opportunity to steal and cause destruction.

This is why I didn't want to get into it with you.Ā  Your "goalpost" move includes two statements I never made; even so, they are barely different, yet to you it is a big deal.

I said it wasn't an insurrection, and that most people just took selfies.Ā  I didn't say it wasn't an insurrection BECAUSE most people took selfies.Ā  Hopefully you see the difference.

And I have no idea why you posted that bolded part.Ā  It doesn't define insurrection, it says such people can't hold office.Ā  Trump is not charged with insurrection.Ā  What is the point?Ā  Clearly it was important to you, since you bolded it.

Finally, I made my initial comment to see if you considered the folks who just took selfies asĀ  not an insurrection, the same as the idiot who hates hostages and loves terrorists.Ā  You said you did.Ā  In my mind we were done, but you got into that mode, and here we are.

If you feel the need to argue this more, just give yourself the W, congrats.Ā  I'm moving on.Ā  :cheers:Ā

Well you answered no to your own question of Ā  ā€œDoes walking around the Capitol taking selfies qualify as an insurrection?ā€Ā so I think that’s a fair representation of where I said the goalposts started.

Then you said this (bolding mine)

The people who got in were like "holy ish, we actually got in!"Ā  Then for the most part they walked around, took selfies, then left.Ā  Did they attempt to hold the Capitol, using their flag poles and fire extinguishers that they brought to take over the US?

And this

But I don't think 1/6 was an insurrection,

…
It wasn't an insurrection.Ā

Which I think is a fair representation of where I said the goalposts moved. Ā You seem to be the one arguing semantics here. Ā I guess you could argue the second statement was your point all along, but that’s an incredibly stupid one.

And yes, those are two very different statements. Ā Again, I would agree that those that didn’t do much more than take selfies did not participate in an insurrection. Ā But it’s fair to say there was an insurrection that day, and more than ā€œa small number of peopleā€ participated in it.

The bolded part because was from the US code. Ā That is how it defines it. Ā Although I guess you’re getting at that they are defining insurrection by using the word insurrection, which I’d agree is a grammar no-no.

Oh, I know.Ā  The gaslighting has already begun:Ā  "It was just an episode!Ā  He was tired, he had only rested for 6 days!Ā  Look how good he looked in the carefully edited and curated Snuffalupagus interview!"

Once they decide they are sticking with Biden, the gaslighting will be at 11.Ā Ā

Ā

What are the examples of this gaslighting?

Lots of Democrats in Congress, the New York Times, MSNBC, CNN and other left-leaning news entities you don't pay attention to because it hurts your feelings are being critical of Biden and calling for him to step aside.

At any point has Fox been critical of Trump and his 34 felony convictions?

No one is making excuses or trying to sugar coat that debate disaster and the obviousness of Biden's mental and physical decline.

Meanwhile, you and your ilk continue to deny the Trump convictions, the seriousness of Jan. 6, the positive aspects of the economy, the bipartisan support for various legislation and a potpourri of other Trump things that deserve far-right criticism but don't because his followers are brainless cultists.

He can't seem to find a middle ground between "insurrection" and "selfie opportunity."
