There are def pressures outside of the debate about people being more or less productive at home.

Cities need people in working in the office. Buildings need renters, restaurants and bars need people coming in, etc.

Yes, 2 - 4 year terms. His is ending in 2026.

Yep.....That adds up.  We got Whitmer here in Michigan in the same boat.  Newsom/Whitmer ticket.  Could absolutely see that. And as much as I'm not a fan of Newsome, that could be a very strong ticket in 2028 for the Dems.

Esp if he moves more moderate. 

I am not sure how that will work when he's asking tax payer money to be set aside to sue the current admin.

Being anti Trump will still garner a lot of votes. if he tries to stay moderate, to get elected, he would be a dangerous opponent in 2028.
