Yes even covert ops have legal justifications & memos, or at least they have since the Church Commission. At any rate, we’re talking war here, which isn’t some grey/black situation.

Thank you, I agree. However iirc Trump/SOD fired the prior DOD lawyers & IG who were reviewing war planning. And also Iirc there’s already a legal memo about all this. And - Iirc - Chief of Southern Command resigned when all this was happening, which is a hell of a thing.

You'll notice the carefully hedged language being used here. Lots of "ifs" and "woulds" as opposed to "did's" and "are's"

This is how well-measured, balanced responses are worded. Then compare it to everything DJT says, which is typically worded in untrue absolutes, with no reference or deference to investigation, enforcement, or legality.
