It is appalling. Can you imagine the reaction if any other President had said that to a reporter?

I doubt any of his supporters in this forum will have a problem with it.

Not surprisingly the MAGA faithful in the "Father Trump" thread are defending him and attacking the reporter for asking a question.

From Hell Toupee with a dash of misogyny:

I’m guessing he’d react differently if it was said about women in his life past & present. - HT has a thread speculating on how a nice young man raised in a conservative household & obsessed with Trump & maga could become such a horrible, unfeeling sociopath. Trump just seems to create a permission structure for a whole range of horrible expression & behavior, & really in the end the effects are unpredictable & unlimited. It’s corrosive, and sad.

The conundrum for Trump supporters is most of them voted for Trump 3 times, and have been defending him daily for a decade+. When he continues to behave terribly, they really have no choice to defend it.

The harmful policies on the economy and the grift are the real issue though. These people voted for worse outcomes for the country economically as long as it meant owning the libs. Dumb.

Move on from Trump, seriously. There's no point defending him anymore.

In order to distract from Epstein, Trump meets with a murderer in the Oval Office.

Been a hell of a week and it's only Tuesday.

A reporter is tortured, killed, and then dismembered with Trump dismissing it as "things happen" 😦

Trump Praises Saudi Prince and Dismisses Question About Killing of Journalist

President Trump brushed aside a reporter’s question about the role Saudi Arabia’s crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, played in the death and dismemberment of a Washington Post journalist in 2018, praising the kingdom’s de facto ruler in a joint Oval Office appearance that was heavy on flattery.

Mr. Trump strongly defended Prince Mohammed, who U.S. intelligence has said ordered the killing of Jamal Khashoggi, the journalist who was killed by Saudi agents. Prince Mohammed has denied involvement.

“A lot of people didn’t like that gentleman that you’re talking about, whether you like him or didn’t like him, things happen,” Mr. Trump said, referring to Mr. Khashoggi.

Mr. Khashoggi, a frequent critic of the Saudi government, disappeared on Oct. 2, 2018 after entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, where he had hoped to obtain a visa for his Turkish fiancée. Saudi officials eventually admitted that he had been killed there after what they claimed was a botched mission to bring him back to Saudi Arabia. A recording obtained by Turkish intelligence captured Mr. Khashoggi’s struggle against Saudi agents, his killing and the sounds of a bone saw being used on his body.
