seafoam1 1,879 Posted November 20, 2017 The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Michael Cohen reports Aaron Jones was arrested for speeding, driving without a valid license, and operating a vehicle with a controlled substance in his system in early October. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So it was mentioned that he had admitted to the cop that he was smoking pot earlier in the day, as well as he was clocked for speeding, and he did not have a valid license for driving. Not guilty?? Are some people just that lazy that they can't update their drivers license or at least just say, "oops, I wasn't paying attention to my mail notifications from the DMV and didn't think of it"? But now he says he is not guilty? And then the GB coach mentioned he spoke with him and that Jones just a mistake. Oops again.. Not guilty? Why not just say, "yes, i drove fast, and i forgot to get a license to drive my car"? As far as the drugs, well, that's what lawyers are for I guess. . seafoam1 1,879 Posted November 20, 2017 Rotoworld: Jones has pleaded not guilty to the charges, but the incident report from the stop claims Jones admitted to smoking marijuana three hours before being pulled over. No drugs were found in the car. "I spoke to Aaron after the incident," coach Mike McCarthy said. "He made a mistake." Jones is currently sidelined with a sprained MCL. LunaTick 29 Posted November 22, 2017 Is the legal game here dealing with an arrest. for speeding and no license? If the other, it would be a DUI/DWI arrest. Lets get back to the legal game. If he pleads guilty, he goes onto sentencing. He has no options at that point. If he plead not guilty. he has a chance of the case being tossed, being found not guilty, being found guilty, or negotiating a deal. I'd assume the penalty is more than just a $100 fine. So certainly challenge it.

$epphori$ 118 Posted November 23, 2017 True. The fact that he admitted to smoking pot is strange if he was pulled over in Wisconsin. I don't think it's legal there. Just cuz the cop says he admitted to it I wouldnt take that as evidence. Why would that question even come up? Did he smell weed?, search and find none? Just makes no sense what so ever that he would get pulled over and know he is in trouble for no license. Plays in NFL and just decides to be forthcoming about the weed? He cant be this dumb right? I am leaning to the cop possibly manipulated him to say that or maybe even made it up.

This is so typical of some people who think NFL players are untouchable. The guy was speeding 79 in a 55, doesn't have a license, is stoned and it's the cop's fault. Well, he will get out of the driving while high charge maybe if the blood test comes back in his favor.
