#6211177 I know S.Griffen is a good player, but if SEA has to cut him... gulp

Posted by uwmalcolm on 29 April 2018 - 12:59 AM

His brother, the community, handicapped people... they are going to go crazy. SEA will regret this move, especially with his brother on his team. Just sayin, hope it works out

I find it strange that you felt it necessary to make this post. Dude was a stud on an undefeated team, albeit not in a major conference. He performed well at the combine. Hes a 5th round pick. Im pretty sure Seattle knows what theyre getting and it wasnt a huge investment.

You missed a comma after 'No'.

I totally agree. It was a blatantly blatant mistake not having a comma in that sentence.

#6125508 Seahawks greatest offseason ever.

Posted by uwmalcolm on 11 January 2018 - 11:23 AM

Cable being gone is a sign to me that there may be a god. Im glad that Bevell is gone too. Im ambivalent about whether Richard stays. Of course whoever they find as replacements makes a big deal. But I highly doubt anyone can do a worse job than Cable. His input on which linemen to draft seemed poor, his zone blocking scheme didnt seem to work, and he didnt seem able to coach people up.

Well see how the rest of the offseason goes for both player personnel and coach hires, but Im optimistic on the Hawks for 2018 at the moment. A slight improvement on the o-line and getting a few players healthy could cause the team to make a big jump forward.

#6112526 Thank you all

Grain of salt man, ultimately it's your call.

Soliciting advice can't hurt though.

A lot of people here aren't experts, but they do have the advantage of being a dedicated fanbase and watch every game for specific teams so they have more insights than I do. I don't watch every game, so sometimes that person who has watched every snap for a team through the year knows their tendencies and matchups really well.

Whoosh.

A well intended woosh though.

#6103157 Rodgers declares he's medically cleared to return

I have Rodgers and Rivers. Tough call in my opinion.  Rivers at Arrowhead isnt a gimme.

#6067198 Top Pickups This Week?

Posted by uwmalcolm on 01 November 2017 - 01:47 PM

How about Vernon as a streamer/bye week filler? Might even give u several decent weeks if reed misses more time

Also like Curtis Samuel as a deeper speculative....I think Carolina is going to open the offense up similar to kc and start using Samuel like they do with tyreek to create misdirection

Vernon Davis will also have the benefit of Earl Thomas likely being out for the Hawks this week.

Week 15 and (@Jax) 16 (Pit) are bad matchups but Seattle was supposed to be a bad one too and look what happened there.

#5929174 Instant Fantasy Analysis - WR John Ross, Bengals

Posted by uwmalcolm on 05 May 2017 - 03:17 PM

I think what sets Ross apart from those guys is that his speed isnt just straight line speed. (although straight line speed is spectacular)

What really sets him apart is his route running is also very good.

lots of these other guys were all about the speed but their route running was suspect (or not very good)

in this case, his route running is what sets him apart and I'm betting he has a good career.

right now the bengals O line is the limiting factor for him in his rookie year.   If it turns out the line is a problem you may need to wait a full year (possibly two) for his breakout.  But I'm pretty sure this guy will  be a player.

I second your opinion.  Anyone can bust but if Ross does it will not be because he's a one dimensional speedster type like those mentioned above. Injuries, Dalton's arm and line protection are potential performance risks...though only injuries would make him a bust.

#5898841 Eddie Lacy to the Seahawks

Posted by uwmalcolm on 17 March 2017 - 12:23 AM

Yes. It regressed bigtime - until at the very end of the season, when they brought Marcel Reece onboard. IF they re-sign him (and they'd damn-well better), I could see it working. He really is that much of a difference-maker.

But if they don't re-sign him, damn...

Russel Wilson being hurt was a huge part of the reason the Hawks offense was so worthless most of the season. Without him being able to escape the rush and improvise, the o-line flaws were magnified. Without the threat of him rushing in designed plays as well as scrambles, defenses had a lot easier time defending the offense. If he's healthy and the o-line improves at all, the offense should get back on track next year. It was looking a bit better at the end of last year when he took off the bulky knee brace. Of course, the poor line play will put him at greater risk for future injuries.

I don't think they're going to feature any RB specifically. All 3 have talent and will share the load. RBs get hurt and you need several good ones to get through a season. Someone could separate themselves from the pack early in the season and manage to stay healthy but my guess is a timeshare.

I'm totally on board with re-signing my fellow UW Husky alum Reece too. He was a great addition indeed!

#5878719 I'm not going to the White House

Based on other athletes who protested the anthem them found out they didn't vote.

And every single one of the "conservative" leaning NFL players voted, I'm assuming?

Thanks so much for saving all your good plays for the playoffs, Cobb. It doesn't make me angry or bitter having had you in all three of my leagues this year.

Nice little push off by Cobb. Those dropped tds are going to kill the giants in this game.

Yup. At least we won't have to hear any more whining from GB fans about the Golden Tate push off on the "Fail Mary" play.

#5842662 Ladarius Green Questionable for Sunday

Posted by uwmalcolm on 21 December 2016 - 07:19 PM

If he doesn't get final go/no-go until Sunday it's going to put his owners in a bind. Either pick up mr. low upside himself, Jesse James, as a backup or pick someone going on Saturday when the bulk of the games take place.  I'm trying to scoop Clay myself but will probably grab James as well.

#5833322 Michael Thomas owners, what are you doing with him today?

Posted by uwmalcolm on 11 December 2016 - 02:57 PM

Thomas is officially inactive so get him out of your lineups if possible!
