RLLD 3,455 Posted November 19, 2018 Over the weekend, the recount in Florida’s Senate race ended. Republican Rick Scott, who’s currently the governor of Florida, beat Democratic incumbent Bill Nelson by a mere 10,033 votes — a razor-thin margin in an election where more than 8.1 million votes were counted. But if people with felony records could have voted in the state this year, Nelson would have had a very good chance of remaining in the Senate. https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2018/11/19/18102579/florida-senate-midterm-election-results-felons-nelson-scott The hilarity is in this admission is fantastic..... Well former felons have the right to vote in most states after they have completed their sentence. Not sure that is a "far left policy".
Hardcore troubadour 12,646 Posted November 19, 2018 Well former felons have the right to vote in most states after they have completed their sentence. Not sure that is a "far left policy". I notice the left goes hard for felons to have their voting rights restored. How come They don't lobby for their other rights just as hard?
RLLD 3,455 Posted November 19, 2018 I am not saying Nelson is a criminal, but criminals seem to like him...... Hmmmm, interesting how that works....

Again, not sure what you are driving at. Prior to this change, which gives felons, who did not commit a sexual assault or murder, the right to vote after their sentence has been completed, Florida was one of only 3 states that did not allow felons to vote again (Iowa and Kentucky). This just brings Florida more in line with the rest of the red states.
