kwolf68 13 Posted November 29, 2016 I am in a heated playoff race. My two QBs all year have been Phil Rivers and Jameis Winston. Both have done me solid. About 3 or 4 weeks ago I had a roster spot to burn and as a defensive move I picked up Colin Kaepernick and stashed him. Not once have I considered starting him, but he has been getting off and he is playing basically a minor league team as the Bears are virtually out of players on defense. So I have delima. Rivers-solid all year, at home, against a suspect pass defense, although they looked good last week v Seattle. Chargers could refocus on Gordon, possibly stealing points. Rivers is no threat to run or pickup short TDs. Winston-against my other QB, has been stellar the last few weeks, did well versus Seattle. Chargers play good run D, soft versus pass. Winston decent run threat and very good run threat at goal line. Then there is my stash man...Kap Has been sensational last 4 weeks (basically since I got him) with 2 good games, one huge against 2 top 10 defenses. Has 8 TDs and 2 Ints in 4 games. Has CAKE matchup versus Bears. Neither team strong on Defense, game has makings of a pretty high scoring game with teams just playing out streak. So the question becomes....Rivers, Winston or Kap? Rest of my lineup will be RB-.Howard+Lat Murray over Lamar Miller WR-ODB, Kelvin Benjamin, and 2 of Jordan Matthews I hope, Patterson, Mitchell, T.Benjamin TE-Reed (praying), if not him then Pitta (yaaa) IDPs are Dunlap on DL, Alonso LB, Jefferson Secondary Opponent will likely have Brees, Hyde, Deion Lewis, Edelman, J.Jones, and random receiver or two plus Kelce, etc.
TennisMenace 156 Posted November 29, 2016 Kap has made a believer out of me.
weepaws 2,460 Posted November 29, 2016 Kap has diffently been an upgrade at Qb for the Niners.
desertfire 4 Posted November 29, 2016 I'd go with Kap. You are pretty guaranteed 5 to 7 points rushing in addition to his passing yds and tds.

papsblue 0 Posted November 30, 2016 It's a tough choice that Winston is not a part of. I'm even considering picking up Kap to either stash or start over Cousins because of that matchup. This is really splitting your field, and either way you can't go wrong, but I think I roll with Kap this week if I'm you. He won't get the 40 point matchup he got against my Dolphins though. Texas10 15 Posted November 30, 2016 I'm also debating dropping Winston to pick up Kap and start over cousins.
Runningriot1966 6 Posted November 30, 2016 Kap is decent fantasy player but not an upgrade for the 49ers team. He runs the ball and that makes him a fantasy player worthy of starting. No way that team is bad enough to lose 9 straight games with him at QB! Winning is the stat that really matters, having 100 yard rushing qb doesnt mean squat. In real NFL, id take Alex Smith all day ever day over Kap.
Runningriot1966 6 Posted November 30, 2016 In saying that though Kap is an excellent start this week, if I had him I would consider starting him this week over just about anyone.
