md61813 6 Posted August 19, 2016 First question of 2016, and it's definitely a junk question.Standard scoring non-ppr.I'm going to hop on the bandwagon of way-too-early-to-tell expectations and snatch Terrell Pryor just because my league is deep and there's not much risk since he'll be a backup.Starters are OBJ, Brandon Marshall, and TY Hilton, so I'm good there.I want to grab Pryor just in case he has a breakout season on the Browns (talk about an oxymoron), so should I drop:Steve Smith Sr.Jordan Matthewsor Vincent JacksonI was leaning towards Jackson. What do you think?Bonus question if you're interested: What do y'all think of Bruce Ellington of San Fran?Leave the link to your question after your response. At the age of 37, I have to believe that Steve Smith may be the guy to drop. His game has always been based on speed because physically, he is a small guy. He got 1065 yards and 6 TD in 2014 and this would be the very top end of his potential. And I believe that EVERYTHING would have to go right for him to get these numbers. Last year ha got 670 yards and 3 TD in 7 games played. I'd write him in for 850 yards, 5 TD. Vince Jackson's game, his largely based on the fact he is a giant target (6'5") and he was never a burner. his game is based on gaining good body position and using that huge body to get between the DB and the ball to make the catch. that game doesnt change regardless of age and speed. and while he had a subpar year last season, I fully expect a bounce back year as he is still young enough (33) to make it work.

md61813 6 Posted August 20, 2016 Ray T nailed it. Thanks for the second opinion! That's probably what I'll do. Anyone else want to weigh in?
vick4prez2013 2 Posted August 21, 2016 Smith Sr. is the drop. As a 49ers fan I have no love for Ellington (wish he could get away from them for the sake of his career). I feel like the 49ers offense is going to be a cluster again this year and I am DND across the entire team.

Looking forward to the season.
