Fitz or Boldin? Who cares I got both!

Everyone in my league was raggin' on my wr selections but if Fitzgerald and Boldin get close to what they did last year than I can guarantee solid points every week from my wr's right? The only setback I see is the bye week (9). Other than that I have a monopoly on Cardinal wide reciever yards. Would you have done this if you had the chance?

I dont think I would have done it. There is too much to lose when the Cardnials have a bad game. I think the risk out weighs the rewards. With that said there will be a week or two where you will look like a genius.

i agree with all these guys. BAD MOVE. you'l very very very rarely have have a game where they both get 100+ yards and 1+TD... so wouldn't you rather have a different reciever who has a good chance? If Warner has an off day, you get no points at THREE starting positions. and you will LOSE.

thats when Manning threw for 49 tds. Warner will be lucky to throw for half that #, and do you really expect him to play 16 gms? Leinart will be good eventually, but if he is asked to step in this yr (or Navarre), your receivers take a hit.

 

Trade Boldin for another solid #1 WR.

They didn't have a letdown with McCown in there last year, and I happen to think Leinart is better than McCown, so no I would not be worried. Leinart has been very impressive in preseason and he was late gettign to camp even.

 

Warner may throw for half that, but the majority of them will go to those 2 guys.

 

They are both young and entering their primes, I am not expecting a sudden drop off. Warner and Leinart should out produce what Warner and McCown did. I would take 2 WRs who can put up 1400 yards and 10 TDs on my team anyday. If Boldin is there and clearly best available, I wouldn't pass on him simply because I had already drafted Fitz.

Im not saying to trade Boldin away for an avg receiver, but if he can get someone of similar value, then I would do it. At the very least, he would be hedging his risk.

S. Smith, T. owens, T. Holt, and C. Jackson were all take before I got to boldin. Boldin was a must pick because he was my 6th ranked wr. If anyone had both of these WR's on their team last year they would have dominated in points against there other WR's. If you do disagree w/ my pick than at least tell me:

You pointed out the obvious...you will be hurting on a Zona bye week. I suggest trading a tier 2/3 RB for a good WR...might luck out and that WR pickup perfroms like a champ on week nine...have to look at the matchups too when evaluating a trade to make sure the matchups are favorable.

Trade fitz for Smith/CJ/Holt/Harrison OR trade boldin for Chambers/R. Moss

I'm okay with Qb-Rb, Rb-Wr from the same team, but not QB-WR or WR-WR. The bye week is one concern and also would be concerned against a strong pass defense.

 

I could see downgrading at QB2 by dealing Bulger or maybe Manning. Package that with Boldin or Dunn and get your upgrade at WR or RB. I think that ought to be worth Chad Johnson and Steve McNair, for example.

 

What I am saying is that you have too good of a qb to sit until the bye week. Find a lesser QB with a weak opponent defensively during Manning's bye week.

I think it is just too risky this year to hang onto both. If Warner goes down, you are looking at Matt Leinart. Not good.
