Portis trade ---- Need some input (this is long winded)

My Team:

QB: McNabb, Leftwich

RB: Parker, KJones, Maroney, Jacobs, MBarber, Davenport, Dayne

WR: RoyWilliams, Edwards, Mason, Housh, Jennings, VJackson, Wilford

TE: Gates

PK: Feely

D: Jaguars, Chargers

 

I'm set everywhere but at RB. Have the ability to pickup Portis.

I know I'm buying low on Portis. Part of me says jump. The other half says I'm set for the next 5 years if I stay put. Full keeper league.

I can keep Maroney, sub in KJones and add Mason and my 1st and 3rd round picks next year if i choose. This isn't that bad if I make it deep into playoffs as the picks would suck.

 

 

If i pull the tigger, my starting l/u would be:

Portis

Parker

RoyWilliams

TJ

Mason

Gates

Feely

Jags

 

w/ KJones, LJ Smith, Jennings/VJackson/Wilford, and the Chargers to sub in on bye weeks.

I kinda like what you have with Maroney and Jacobs. Sure you wont be as good this year but you can be rock solid for years to come. Also Portis scare me with that shoulder. He will be hampered all season.

I agree with Borat33. Given that you are dynasty, Jacobs and Maroney will be with you for a while, good for years to come, and still pretty useful this year, especially Maroney.

I'd stick with what you got.

 

I recently traded away Portis, because I just don't trust that shoulder of his. He seems like he has a lot of miles on him too.

 

I'd stick with what you have, and both Maroney and Edwards could be studs next year.

I'd stay put. With Maroney ready to take over in NE and Parker, you're set.

Portis' shoulder and recent injury history would make me stay away.
