Quick trade help....Edge/Dillon for Dunn/Norwood?

Recommended Posts

I was offered Edge & Dillon for Dunn & Norwood. My team is in my sig. I should accept right? I know I won't have Maroney but this will add depth to my RB's.

What do you think?

Thanks for mine.

I would take that...Dillon and Edge are still producing, and it gives you 2 options rather than 2 guys from the same team.

I'd do it. Like the other guy said it gives you 2 options on 2 different teams as opposed to RB's from the same team. Dillon might lose some carries to Maroney but I think he's still the primary back. Norwood has been on my bench all year because he's hit or miss any week. His TD's have been long runs that he broke off and even last week he only had 6 carries although he had over 100 yards.

I'd do it too. Two viable running backs for one. Edge is probably at least close to Dunn in production, since Dunn can't score (not sure, but I'd expect so).

I don't think it is as clear cut as everyone else. You a trading for 2 guys who in the eyes of most "experts" are fading. Edge hasn't don't much, and it would be hard to expect more relying on a rookie QB. Dillon is "aged" and is splitting carries every week and no one would be shocked to see the split begin to favor Maroney soon.

Meanwhile, you are trading a starter and his backup from the #1 rated running team in the league. You currently have 3 unquestioned RB starters. I don't think this trade helps you much.

Thanks for mine.

I agree with Bojangling. Edge has a terrible offensive line in Arizona as he's only averaging 3.0 yds a carry this year. With Leinart coming in, they may depend on Edge more but if anything that could be a detriment. I own Maroney as you know, so I may be biased, but I think Dillon is going to be phased out slowly as the year goes on and Maroney will get a bigger role (this may just be wishful thinking on my part though). While Dunn rarely scores, I like him due to his fairly consistent yardage. All in all, I wouldn't do that trade if I were you. Your team is pretty solid by the way!

I agree, keep Dunn/Norwood. Whoever starts for Atlanta is a better play than Dillon or Edge straight up right now, and I only see the latter players going down as the season goes on.

I agree also. Dillon will lose alot of carries to Maroney and Edge's Oline are having some problems. Although Leinhart may open things up for him, but it's a big gamble. I would just stay with what you have or trade Norwood for Edge straight up.

I'll agree with some and disagree with others....

Edge...Value is flat..not rising or falling.... Warner made his value drop, but with Leinart coming in they are expecting Edge to get more carries. Yeah the o-line is suspect but he will still get yards and TD's.

Dillion...Value is flat. He isn't doing more or less than he did last year and is splitting more time this year. He is still a good back and will continue to get carries, I wouldn't give up on him yet.

Dunn and Norwood are both seesaws(sp?). One week could be great while the other sucks. I'd never recommend having 2 RB's from the same team on my FFteam. Bye week sucks(Falcons have it this week) and if the run gets shut down, you basically have 2 duds starting...Last week was a fluke with Norwood...He broke a long run, but don't expect that as a norm. Dunn will be a good starter, sure, but Norwood will not be as productive for them as Duckett was...

Overall...Take Dillion and Edge...Combined they are the better 2 backs over Dunn and Norwood.

If you could check mine out...one or both would be appreciated!
