Moose42 0 Posted October 11, 2006 I know Freddy is "fragile" and Jones-Drew should cut into his time more and more, but Caddy hasn't looked special and he's also getting pulled on 3rd down situations. Will Caddy be worth it, especially with Taylor having HOU coming up twice and TEN soon too??? I gotta do this trade by tomorrow if I wanna get it in for this week and use Caddy. dbuofi7 0 Posted October 11, 2006 Personally, I stick with Fred. He was healthy all last year and he's hanging in there this year. If last week proved anything, it's that Drew is still feeling things out. Jacksonville has an awesome schedule for the rest of the year and it's tough to give that up for Caddy right now. Just my opinion. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=243030 Thanks in advance.
bunnerjk 0 Posted October 11, 2006 It sounds fair to me but I do like some of Freddy's match-ups!!!!!
DeLLBerto 0 Posted October 11, 2006 Take it this way if somebody offered me Taylor for Caddie I would do it in a heartbeat just to get rid of him.
Moose42 0 Posted October 11, 2006 What if I did Taylor/Heap to get K. Jones??? Would you all recommend that?
AlleXxeh 0 Posted October 11, 2006 hummm...good question....pretty much had the same, i got Ahman "Harmstring" Green who's now benched for some time and Fred Taylor, #1 RB is Ronnie Brown. Dunno, I'd pick up Marion Barber (actually that's what i did and also grabbed Leon Washington) Marion Barber is pretty much a sure 8 points this week. so for me the thing was the difference this week and the potential points Taylor can pull off with his schedule was better than most others deals i could come up with. I was gonna pick up Barber, but that would leave me without a DEF for this week due to a lot of my guys on bye and a short bench in our league. am I better off going with Barber and no DEF, or trading Taylor or Addai to get an RB and then using the roster spot to get a DEF for this week? I'm 2-3 right now even though I've got a lot of fpts. I've been stuck with bad matchups.

Connorsdad 38 Posted October 11, 2006 This is a tough one! I think i would trade for Caddy. But this could go either way but i would make this trade. Thanks for answering mine! Goodluck!!!
Ray_T 754 Posted October 12, 2006 well, if this is a keeper league, you totally made the right call. Fred Taylor was considered to be one of the 3 or 4 most gifted RB's in the league at one point, but the fact he gets injured has really hurt his numbers and his career. when healthy, he is as good as any RB in the league. And to his credit he has remained healthy all year so far this year. However he will get injured. If it doesnt keep him out of the lineup, it will hinder his production. Either way, you probably got as much as you possibly could get for him. Lets put it this way, if I had Taylor at the start of the year, and someone offered me Caddy to get him, I'd have pulled the trigger on this deal in a heartbeat. Caddy hasnt been as good as we would have hoped. This is partly because of injuries to the O-Line and an ineffective passing game. What this means is Teams have stacked the box to stop him because teams dont think that their QB can hurt them. and for the most part they are right. Taylor is now hitting the point in his career where he is starting to show signs of slowing down. He may even yield the starting job to Jones-Drew by the end of the season. He has had a terrific year so far, but I still feel you made the right call. I think by the end of the season you will be glad you made this deal.
sky21 0 Posted October 12, 2006 Caddy looked good last week with the new QB in place. This is a no-brainer, no Jones-Drew stealing carries. Grab Caddy immediately, don't look back.

Would I be better off giving up Addai instead of F. Taylor for Caddy? Based on what I've seen and what everyone on this board tend to think, I would guess that Taylor is the better man to give up. But everyone is right, Freddies schedule is cake for the most part coming up... Please give me an answer or two on this. I'll provide input to your links if you want... mrgymrat 0 Posted October 12, 2006 1. Try Addai for Caddy first. Dungy pretty much said that Rhodes & Addai will be splitting all year. And with the Titans shutting them down last week, the colts could have a tuff time running the ball. 2. Jags looked good and perhaps will Jones-Drew playing some, Fred will stay healthier than normal. 3. I'd stay away from Kevin Jones & the Lions. 4. MBIII who be a nice addition. Like someone said, he's 8-10 pts in the bank even as a backup. 5. I would not do Taylor for Caddy. Taylor for someone else just not Caddy so far this year. ---- Thx for already answering mine
buffandan 0 Posted October 12, 2006 Instead of giving you more of the same advice everyone else has given you so far, I'm going to address something you said in one of your follow up posts. You said you're putting up good numbers, but just have had bad matchups. So I would think about if you really need to trade. Will it net you a consistent increase in points over the stretch? thanks for answering mine.
Kam187 6 Posted October 12, 2006 Personally I would let Taylor go. I have never ever been a big fan of Fragile Fred and he will dissapoint u sooner or later. Cadillac has more potential to finish strong and have some really nice games. He is the unquestioned #1 back in Tampa and he is getting healthy and his line is also. Get Caddy. I get what you're saying, but right now I will have one bench spot from which to fill either DEF or RB2 which are on byes. If I trade for an RB, then I can fill both. If I don't make a deal, then I was gonna pick up Marion Barber and just go without a DEF for this week in hopes of winning. Theres a weird reason here but I can't drop JAX defense to help me during the bye week.
