Wes Welker or Cotchery

I need a fill-in WR in a week other starters are on bye. It's a PPR league. Who would you choose between the 2 ?

With Booker is out, I am leaning toward Welker since he may get a start. He also returns punts. Our league also counts return yards.

With the kick return yards, Welker is a pretty good start. He's been getting plenty of looks and will still return kicks.

I'd start Wes Welker. Since he's starting, Joey really likes to throw it to him.

I like Chad Pennington a lot more than Joey Harrington...heirgo, I would take Cotchery over Welker. Cotchery has shown what he can do and Chris Chambers is hardly getting the attention he deserves, let alone a #3 filling in for a #2. The Dolphins passing game is a recipe for destruction, so I would not rely on any Dolphin receiver to produce consistantly. My bet is on Cotchery.

I think the safe pick is Walker cause you know he'll get a few receptions and the return yards. But when it comes to touchdowns he might not get one because they have mcmichael, chambers, and brown so he's the 4th option. Cotchery on the other hand has a much better chance at getting a TD but he could also produce a dud. If you're a gambling man go with cotchery, if you want the safer option go with walker. Miami's D isn't what it use to be so if it was me i'd lean towards cotchery. Plus, did you see that stiff arm?? Respeck

I think I like Welker better here. Last week with Harrington starting, he was targeted quite frequentley, always what you want to see in a WR. Cotchery seems like he's a hit or miss kinda guy, so I'd have to go with Welker, especially in a PPR league.

I like cotchery for td's, but if you get his return yards, go with welker.

Go with Welker. Harrington favors him with the ball, or at least he did last week. For more on Welker, check out this week's Fantasy Football advice at http://www.davissportsdeli.com/. They got this guy Collin Kilpatrick. He's pretty good.

Cotchery, Coles, and Pennington may be slowing as teams adjust to how to defend them. And there's no running game to take the heat off them.

 

Harrington showed a proclivity to Welker last week and he's Miami's leading WR so far. I think given the trends, go with Welker.

I don't know much about either of those guys except for the numbers they've put up. Haven't watched any of their games. How do you score return yards? Cotchery is having a breakout season and with Coles hurt and whining should have plenty of opportunites, but Miami's D is pretty solid, it's been their offense that's horrible. If you get significant points for return yards then I'd run with Welker, who should get his share of looks as well.

I think the safe play is Welker -- Harrington is showing SOME ability to stay on his feet and looks like he prefers Welker as his receiver of choice. Cotchery (I have him on my team) is a big play guy -- he can put up good points or not be effective at all. I would go with Welker.

I was all ready to say Crotch rocket until I read the part about your league counting return yards. Welker's getting more involved in the passing game and the added bonus of his return yards gives him the edge

I would go with Crotchery, I have a feeling the Dolphins will target Chambers alot this week.

ya man seems like an easy decision for Welker. Leads the team with receptions, Joey loves throwing to him and hes a great returner. im starting Welker and i think he'll get 5 rec. 70 yrds

First and foremost, Cotchery isn't slipping at all, he's had strong weeks every single time except last week, which was bound to happen cause no receiver does great every week. Having said that, Welker is the wiser choice. He is averaging more TTA then Cotch and is going up against a banged up secondary in the Jets. And if your league rewards return yards then Welker is just that much better of a choice.

I'm going against the trend here and I'll say Cotchery. Welker gets return yards and that's a plus, but Pennington is a better QB than Welker AND THIS HAS NOTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH ME NEEDING GOOD PRODUCTION FROM COTCHERY THIS WEEK AS A BYE WEEK FILL OH FITZ COME BACK SOON I MISS YOU!!!!!!

Sorry to answer so late but I'd pile on with Welker. He was a favorite for Harrington vs the Pats.

If the Jets D is similar to the Pats (duh) then he might be a favorite target once again!
