need help getting S. SMITH.

My team is in my sign. A friend in my league really needs depth. I offered TO, Shockey and Jones-drew for SS/ M. Barber. I am starting colston as TE always so shockey is useless to me after this week. I have gore as my back up so I can loose drew-jones. Is this fair trade??? Drew-jones has good potential and TO/Shockey is top tire WR/TE. Am I taking too much from him or is this fair trade? he is a friend so I don't want to rip him off. would it be more fair if I did SS / TO, drew, shockey.

I would maybe say yes, but the guy in our league dished off SS because he needed a QB...So the trade was Leinart/Benson for SS/Nugent. So no, its not that bad.

No, I think you're making a pretty fair trade. For one, Jones-Drew seems good for 10-20 touches a game so far, and I wouldn't be too surprised to see him score a few more times this season, including possibly a return TD (though another 2-TD game's probably not gonna happen unless Taylor gets hurt, but... it IS Fred Taylor).

 

TO and Shockey will both start for him as well. I think you're fine asking for Barber.

I think it's a fair trade. You help him out and you have the depth to pull the trigger and it will help you out as well.

I think your friend is getting the better of the deal. He's getting the depth he needs, and since the trade doesn't hurt you, and may actually help you, I think it's more than fair.

I wish I could get Smith but the guy in my league WILL NOT let him go, I wish I tried weeks 1 or 2 when he was out.

I think I would have to hold on to steve smith in this trade. I refuse to liquidate studs especially for underproforming players (see Shockey)

Nice trade for both sides and should help both win games.

 

He's getting the better deal IF T.O. keeps producing. Jones-Drew should be great down the stretch. I traded Brian Westbrook for S Smith when he was hurt and there's no looking back.
