napa joe 0 Posted October 21, 2006 I was offered this trade. I have Plummer and Reggie Bush. This is a seasonal league. Plummer has disappointed. Bush has potential. Raiders are trainwreck, so Jordan is big question mark. Is Delhomme worth it? I keep thinking Bush is going to bust out. my team: QB- Leinart, Pennington, Plummer RB- Tiki, Leon Washington, Noah Herron, Reggie Bush WR- Wayne, Coles, Jennings, Moose Mohamed leave link. I'll answer yours.
Melvinbet 5 Posted October 21, 2006 I would not do this trade. You have other good QB's and Bush will get his TD's however they will most likely be through the air. If Deuce gets hurt again then Bush will be gold. See mine please
Fearsome 22 Posted October 21, 2006 Thanks for the help...I would not do that. Outside of Tiki, losing Bush leaves you way to thin with mediocre RB's. Bush is leaps and bounds better than Jordan at this point. Essentially you are trading Delhomme for Bush and I think your QB situation is OK with Pennington. Don't do it. napa joe 0 Posted October 21, 2006 I appreciate the insight, but we're 1-5 now. I need some offensive TDs. With our league's scoring I didn't get credit for Reggie's 65 yd punt return. (DST gets it.) He has not scored a TD yet. I am a big fan, but we have to do something. The last four weeks Delhomme has scored 13, 18, 12, 22 pts. Bush has scored 6, 4, 8, 5 pts. I do believe Reggie will start scoring. Hopefully soon. Jake Plummer...I don't know about.
Underbruin 0 Posted October 21, 2006 I'm not nearly as high on Reggie Bush for fantasy as a lot of other people - I think Deuce could very well stay healthy all season long (aka the Fred Taylor/Maurice Jones-Drew syndrome). And Deuce is a better goal-line back than Bush - when he's healthy, he's a top-10 back based on talent IMHO. Even if Deuce gets hurt, I don't think Bush ever gets full #1 carries - there's too much worry he can't handle a full RB load. I don't think he'll ever get more than 20ish touches a game, not this season. But, you've already got Pennington, who's a pretty solid starter, plus Leinart, who is a good matchup play with solid potential (he's looked very good his first two starts). I do think some people are overvaluing Bush and undervalue Jordan, though - with Walter in as the starter, Oakland's going to run, run, and run some more (just hope he doesn't get hurt). At the end of the day, 1 key question - are you playing points per reception? If yes, I think you HAVE to keep Bush, because he'll average 4-7 catches a game across the rest of the season, at least. If not, though, you need to decide if you think Delhomme's going to get at least 4 or 5 starts over the rest of the season. If so, this might be a good deal. If not, get away from it. ramblin'wreck 0 Posted October 21, 2006 though I don't like Plummer as at all this year, I still would not do this trade. You will get an upgrade at a QB position, but downgrade at a RB. I am sure you can pick up a QB off your WW. Thanks for mine..
wessel1313 0 Posted October 21, 2006 I like Delhomme a lot. He will have a big second half. As for Jordan vs. Bush. I know Jordan plays for Oakland, but he plays with a lot of passion and they can't possibly get any worse. Bush is a great player, just not a great fantasy player, YET. Do it. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=246361
bryce_paradyce 0 Posted October 21, 2006 I like the trade. Delhomme is stepping it up with Steve Smith back in the lineup. As the previous post said...I can't imagne L Jordan doing any worse. Plummer isn't even your starting QB. Bush is all potential...but you do not have time for potention...you need points. Can you trade Bush for Chester Taylor? I'm high on him right now. saiamne 0 Posted October 21, 2006 I would say alot of this depends on whether your league does Points Per Reception...if you're a PPR then I'd deffinately say keep Bush...with PPR from a Fantasy perspective Bush is deffinately more valuable than Jordan, and you can't risk the loss at RB...if you get pure RB stats however Bush's value decreases significantly and I would say go ahead with the trade...Plummer has been a little off so far this year, and will probably pick back up, however Delhomme is probably the better choice...I still wouldn't recommend the trade unless you just don't get alot of points off Bush in your league...I'm in a PPR and Bush is good for about 15pts per game because of all the receptions/yardage there, if you don't get that he's not worth alot mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=246415
