Return of the King 0 Posted October 12, 2007 I give up Big Ben for Drew Brees. Any chance Brees can turn this ship around. Should I make this trade?
Fresh Chicken 0 Posted October 12, 2007 I give up Big Ben for Drew Brees.Any chance Brees can turn this ship around. Should I make this trade? I don't see why you would make this trade. PIT is playing well and Ward is coming back soon. NO isn't doing any damage this season at all. I don't even think the potential at this point is enough to make this trade. Maybe if you can get someone else along with Brees.
tanatastic 2,062 Posted October 12, 2007 the answer is yes if you have a better starter than big ben. cuz if ull never start ben then you might as well gamble on brees turning the ship around
ramdes 0 Posted October 12, 2007 I think it depends on your other QB and if you need to take a big chance. Ben will be solid and at times great, but if you're 0-5 or 1-4 then I could see taking the chance.
hermdogg 0 Posted October 12, 2007 I pretty much agree with everyone else; if you just need a solid, fairly consistent QB I'd stick with Ben. If you're desparate, make the trade. Thanks for mine
throttlers 0 Posted October 12, 2007 Agree with above. Thansk for mine.
Dapuma 0 Posted October 12, 2007 Ben has been semi consistant while Drew has been rather bleek. I would Keep Ben. Thanks for answering mine.
jdjacks10 0 Posted October 12, 2007 I agree with everyone else pretty much. If you have or can get a qb that puts up somewhat similar numbers than I would do the trade and take a risk on Brees. Some Options at qb that I like are garrad and campbell. thanks for answering mine.
FreddieMercury 0 Posted October 12, 2007 Thanks for answering mine. Keep Big Ben. The Saints o-line is a mess, and doesn't look to get any better, which means Brees won't get much better either.
Leshavelli 0 Posted October 12, 2007 Thanks for answering mine. Who is your main QB? If Ben is your main QB, then keep him. It's a senseless gamble for Brees at this point. Rely on the consistency of Big Ben over the erratic play of Brees ---- 1/9 TD/Int ratio ----
pom 0 Posted October 12, 2007 Do not make the trade. They said it at the beginning of the year that Big Ben would be throwing the ball more, which he has. His numbers will jump up more once Ward returns, but he still has Holmes and Miller to throw to. New Orleans is not going to turn things around.
Texansfan 0 Posted October 12, 2007 Ben will be the less flashy, but more consistent option. He might not have any 30+ point games, but he'll get you a CONSISTENT 15-20 PPG. Brees is so out of whack right now you don't know what to expect!
Bills04 63 Posted October 12, 2007 NO WAY! Keep Big Ben over D. Brees... NO has been a train-wreck so far! And - as someone else pointed out - a lot of pre-season annuals thought PIT passing offense would be much improved in 2007 - which it has been. No motor-cycle accident, nor appendicitis for Ben THIS year. Thanks for help with mine ("stay pat").
Fran Sharkenton 0 Posted October 13, 2007 I agree. Unless you have another solid QB on your roster don't give up Big Ben for the very risky Brees. thanks for answering mine
vu784 0 Posted October 13, 2007 big ben is a solid option at QB and has a good defense behind him and solid running game, so he doesn't have to force the ball and manage the team(don't lose it). on the other hand, you have brees who doesn't have a solid line, decent running, horrific stat line, and no defense to back it up. last weekend was a step in the same direction. if you can wait one more week to see if he does anything this weekend, then hold off. but if not, go with your gut. with these things, you need to gamble because that's what it seems like at times. thanks for answering
bunnerjk 0 Posted October 13, 2007 Keep Ben at least he's pretty consistent, Brees could suck all season long!!!!!
