Brian Westbrook Trade - Please help

Recommended Posts

PPR league/Keeper League. I am struggling with RB's. I have 1 Stud though... Westbrook.

He is my keeper but i have to drop him at the end of the year. I have been offered Brandon Jacobs and Ryan Grant for him. I will be able to keep Grant for 1 more year after this.

Think it is worth it? I am sure with westbrook in my line i am STILL not going to take the championship and I need to start building the team ground up.

Please leave your link and i will answer.

Thats a tough one. I have Westy in my other league and it would take a lot for me to give him up, he is a stud. However, I am not in your situation. Its not a keeper league and I feel I have a solid team. If you truly believe you cannot win the championship this year and would be better off dealing him, then you might as well go ahead and do it. But I would shop him around a bit as I think you could maybe do a little better in a trade, but that is just my opinion. Please see mine:

I think you can get better for Westy. Jacobs is good, but isn't good enough value for Westy. I am not high on Grant long term at all. I would look for teams that are in the hunt this year and Westy might put them over the top then see what depth they have to trade. I'd probably be looking for something like a stud WR and a young RB. Maybe the Colston owner would be interested in a deal. Him missing time wouldn't be a big deal for you since you are already looking ot next year.

no. you play to win the game. westbrook gives you your best chance to win this year.

i guess there are a few other factors to look at but my answer will still be the same... if its a 1 player keeper league you may not even keep grant. its a long season and who knows what could happen. Also it means the grant owner probably is not keeping grant

i dont know how many keepers but either way i still say you hold on to your stud until you start seeing a trade that helps you now AND in the future.

Grant and Jacobs are both injury prone and have lots of competition for carries on their teams.

I'd hold out for better.

Thanks for seeing mine.

Hold out for now. Even if you lose Westbrook, there are enough intriguing options in next years redraft (Turner, Chris Johnson, Forte, Stewart) that you won't be left without any options.

Thanks everyone for replying. Someone gave a suggestion to look for colston . Well here is what i might get from colston owner . This is a PPR league and we are allowed to keep 4 players. Right now I dont have any keepers (have to drop all of my last keepers at end of year as it has been 3 years i.e. limit )

Trade Westy

For

Colston/Chris Johnson/Steve Slaton/Eddie Royal.

I will answer yours.
