rottytiny 7 Posted October 14, 2008 I am in a 12 team limited keeper league (can keep 3 players that were drafted after the 5th round, can keep forever) NO PPR Lineup requires QB-2RB-3WR-TE-K-D My roster (players of importance): Romo and Orton Gore Jacobs Turner MJD Pittman TO Coles Engram Galloway Bryant Reed (bills) Gates and LJ Smith I kept Turner-Jacobs and MJD coming into the season. I have been offered Colston for MJD and am torn on if I should accept it. Colston can be a keeper, so I'd probably keep Jacobs-Turner and Colston. (Gore-TO-Romo-Gates aren't eligible to be kept). So should I pull the trigger since I need wr help and have 3 other backs that are serviceable or hold onto MJD in hopes that next year Freddy is done? Leave a link. celloshane 0 Posted October 14, 2008 I think you have to take the long view here. Colston over a (healthy) season is better than MJD. Even if Fred is done next year, MJD won't be an every down back. The Jags will find someone new to split carries, and he'll be in the same position. Colston will probably take a couple weeks to get back into form, but towards the end of the season and over the next, you'll be glad he's there. Thanks for mine. browns08 0 Posted October 14, 2008 I would go for this trade. Colston is a nice keeper for the rest of the season and next year and you already have turner and jacobs locked up.
yankmccobb 0 Posted October 14, 2008 I think you go after Colston. You have a definite need at WR and a surplus at RB. Do it!!!
We Tigers 71 Posted October 14, 2008 Agree with the consensus on Colston--if players the likes of Gore and Clinton Portis can't be kept by virtue of their draft position, there's a good chance you will grab one of them in the first round of the draft next year. Keep a bit of depth at WR in Colston and you're more balanced heading into next season; you'll be able to take the best players available with your first and second picks, rather than feeling like you have to address an immediate need at WR. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=328843

CrazyStanley 0 Posted October 15, 2008 I would take Colston. He is going to be big for quite some time with Brees throwing to him, the only thing i worry about is his duribility. I value quality when healthy more than an injury risk get Colston thanks for answering mine.
