just_want_2_win 0 Posted October 23, 2008 Concerns 1st roster in signature, with Favre. I am considering a few trade offers but would like 2nd opinions ; all my guys are bad right now so I'd have to hope people are thinking "buy low." Favre/TO for Delhomme/Marshall One danger for me is that Coles looks to be out, so if he is I'd have no WR as Marshall is on bye. The other owner is a Cowboy fan (roster is Delhomme, B. Johnson, Romo, MB3, Slaton, MoMo, Perry, Marshall, Bruce, Breaston, Cotch, Folk, Titans). He doesn't think Delhomme is an ok backup plan for Romo as he's signed and dropped a few QBs, looking indecisive, even picking up and dropping Hass twice. He finally just got Brad Johnson. Delhomme: ARI Bye @OAK DET @ATL @GB TB DEN @NYG @NO Favre: KC @BUF STL @NE @TEN DEN @SF BUF @SEA 23.0%MIA TO: TB @NYG Bye @WAS SF SEA @PIT NYG BAL @PHI Marshall: Bye MIA @CLE @ATL OAK @NYJ KC @CAR BUF @SD TO/Parker/McFadden for R. White/Forte Giving up too much? Not enough? White has terrible match up this week but otherwise looks ok (owner has benched) and Forte is declining but I'm getting sick of Parker and McFadden always re-aggravating their injuries. He has this roster: Cutler, Edwards, Lynch, TJ, Forte, Avery, Reg. Brown, R. White, Mason, Royal, Kasay, Chargers. Duece/Parker/McFadden for SJax Dude just trasded Marshall for R. Bush to go with SJax since had no real RBs though lots of depth. Bush immediately hurt; he's picked up Stecker but I think he might be desperate for Deuce. And he'd have MeMo and Parker, too. His roster: Brees, SJax, R. Bush, Sproles, McClain, Stecker, MeMo, Hightower, Chambers, Bryant, Hester, Longwell, Cowboys. Maybe because SJax is questionable to play because of the thigh, he'd bite? He's in my division.
chrisfab 0 Posted October 24, 2008 well now that you played devils advocate on my thread, i am not sure! I do like delhomme very much...he was great last year before he got hurt, and is playing well with smith back...and he does have an easy schedule Favre can be erratic! I don't like those kind of players on my team I guess it depends on your standing right now.....I don't think TO will be his superself until romo returns... If you need to win some games now, do the trade, otherwise it is a pretty fair trade. Thanks for getting me back on the fence about my trade!!!
LandenChase 0 Posted October 24, 2008 I think I would. I dont think the move would have a bad impact on your team.
chis0x13 0 Posted October 24, 2008 i agree with chrisfab i would do the trade, Jake is solid and he seems to found his groove with Steve Smith. Favre is too unpredictable imo as far as TO if there is no Romo than TO will be average Brandon Marshall on the other hand is Jay Cutler's go to guy.
gundy89 0 Posted October 24, 2008 Concerns 1st roster listed, with Favre obviously. I am considering a few trade offers but would like 2nd opinions because who knows if I am being realistic; all my guys are bad right now so I'd have to hope people are thinking "buy low." Favre/TO for Delhomme/Marshall Looking at strength of schedules from this site and productivity so far, for both sets involved, would you offer Favre and TO for Delhomme and Marshall? One danger for me is that Coles looks to be out, so if he is I'd have no WR as Marshall is on bye. I'd have to drop someone for a WR fill in. The other owner is a Cowboy fan (roster is Delhomme, B. Johnson, Romo, MB3, Slaton, MoMo, Perry, Marshall, Bruce, Breaston, Cotch, Folk, Titans). He seems not to think Delhomme is an ok backup plan for Romo as he's signed and dropped a few QBs, looking indecisive, even picking up and dropping Hass twice. He finally just got Brad Johnson. I know I beat him to Frerotte. Bush to go with SJax since had no real RBs though lots of depth. Bush immediately hurt; he's picked up Stecker but I think he might be desperate for Deuce. His roster: Brees, SJax, R. Bush, Sproles, McClain, Stecker, MeMo, Hightower, Chambers, Bryant, Hester, Longwell, Cowboys. Maybe because SJax is questionable to play because of the thigh, he'd bite? He's in my division... 12 team redraft (4-4) 4 pt pass TD, all other TD 6 pts QB (start 1) Favre, Frerotte RB (2) Parker, R Brown, DeAngelo, Deuce, McFadden, Torain WR (2) Owens, Wayne, Coles K Elam D Steelers Trade 1: Favre/TO for Delhomme/Marshall I don't think you're giving up too much. I think TO will be ordinary without romo. So you have a couple weeks of average before you'd have the potential for some big games. I think Jake will end up with a solid year. Not going to be top 5 or anything like that but between him and the way Ferrote has been playing, I think you'll be able to play matchups and get some good scoring. Favre is good but inconsistent. I think this trade is a good one overall for you. You don't lose much @ QB and upgrade the WR long term plus you get better Playoff Matchups. Trade 2: TO/Parker/McFadden for R. White/Forte This one is tough. If Parkers healthy, I like the TO/Parker combo better. Unfortunately, both him and Romo are hurt. If you feel you need to when games now just to make the playoffs, then yes. Long term, I think you'd be better off passing on this one. Trade 3: Duece/Parker/McFadden for SJax I like this one, but I don't know if he'd go for it. He's giving up a Jax for a couple week fill in guy and Parker in a couple weeks. If I was him, I wouldn't do it unless I really needed some points to win some games until Bush gets back. I think you may be better off giving up Deuce and TO for Jax and one of his WRs, shoot for chambers or Bryant. That gives you your stable of RBs and you still have Wayne and Coles to go along with the WR you get back. He gets a top tier WR plus Bush's compliment. Right now he's hurting at WR. Chambers is nice, but hurt. Hester had a quad last game and Bryant is ok. Reasons not to move: You have a solid team once Parker and Romo are back. Brown, Parker, Owens, Wayne. Only problem is that you would have to suffer a couple weeks becuase of injury. Look at your schedule, if you think you can squeek bye until then, do nothing. If you need the wins now, I'd make a trade. Trades Ranked in order 1 nothing 3 2 Thanks for mine.
whitey2876 0 Posted October 24, 2008 I think I would pull the trigger. Excpet the fact that you would need to do something this week at WR. Do you need to do it now? I would much rather have Jake and Marshall over Favre and Owens! I think the later are too erratic in play and Jake and Marshall would offer you more consistent weekly numbers. Good Luck! Thanks for mine!

drmidd 2 Posted October 24, 2008 Yeah I would do it. Better upside with what you will be getting. Coles hasnt been tearing it up anyway... maybe you can find a fill in for a week if he doesnt go
ouradu 0 Posted October 24, 2008 Don't remember how you said you are doing in the league. If you need to shake things up to make a run at getting in your playoffs, I wouldn't hesitate on trade 1. Even if you are solidly in your playoffs, I'd still consider trade 1. Marshall is as good if not better here on out than TO, and I like Delhomme as well as Favre. The other two I'm not wild about. Thanks for answering mine.
ScottyArms 0 Posted October 24, 2008 Well Deuce apparently just got popped for juice so I'd try to put his ass in any package you can. I personally like the TO/Parker trade for Roddy and Forte...I'm huge fans of the latter and with TO without his boyfriend Romo for a little while I think it would be a steal to get Roddy. And I also like the first deal you layed out where you recieve Delhomme and Marshall even though I feel there won't be much value loss/gained in that deal. In conclusion if you can get value for TO, Deuce and even Parker. I think you can make out big. Thank you for your analysis for my question.
seh2000 5 Posted October 24, 2008 If you can get Sjax, I would do it. Especially if you are in a PPR league. He and the rams will start coming along slowly and he'll get his numbers for sure. Thanks for mine: seh2000 - quick note on that...would you consider any of those guys for better depth overall...not for this week? Please reply back on my question if you can. Thanks
Glorious 0 Posted October 24, 2008 I'd take the second offer TO/Parker/McFadden for R. White/Forte I have Parker and think he won't do much the rest of the season. I'm hoping to trade him myself. I think R White and Forte are better. TO is a gamble but I think it's good to mix it up. Thanks for responding to mine (bye week QB help) Good luck

He's in my division. Not sure if you're still checking in for answers, but I will do my best with this well thought out question. I checked in on mine which I thaink you for answering. Trade 1: Favre/TO for Delhomme/Marshall Yaknow, something bothers me about this one. Romo's coming back, and when he does - at playoff time - so will TO. I think this guy's trying to buy low here. Trade 2: TO/Parker/McFadden for R. White/Forte I wouldn't do this one either. I would be glad to trade Parker and McFadden, but again he's trying to get TO for a playoff run and get him cheap while Johnson is in there. I would say no. Forte will be declining (yet another great Tulane RB, but still declining....). Trade 3: Duece/Parker/McFadden for SJax Is he offering this or are you? This is a great trdae for you and if he'll do it take it in an instant. If you're offering you may need to sweeten thedeal a little. This is a great time to try this as Parker appears to be on the verge of coming back (he's not) and SJax looks a little dinged (he's not). I'd say go for this one out of the three. Manimal 0 Posted October 25, 2008 Trade 1: Favre/TO for Delhomme/Marshall I've been using Delhomme as my STARTING QB since Week 3. I considered trying to acquire Favre as well but thought against it because he is so up and down and honestly, might have already hit his high point for the season. T.O. wasn't getting the ball when Romo wasn't hurt. Sure, he'll still get some TD's and have some good games before and after Romo comes back, but at worst getting Marshall is a wash and this season you'll probably look back on it as an upgrade. I think this trade works. It would for me, anyway. Trade 2: TO/Parker/McFadden for R. White/Forte There's something about this one i don't like. I don't think White and Forte are worth giving up Parker. I mean, sure Parker has been hurt..but Forte isn't an equivalent imo. Trade 3: Duece/Parker/McFadden for SJax Now this one IS one I'd have to consider. You're getting some fair value for Parker and the guy you're getting is on the verge of breaking out this season. Hope that helps! Thanks for mine!
beatsdesign 0 Posted October 25, 2008 Sorry for late reply. I got kidnapped last night into going to the bar Trade1: If you need to win to get in then you may have to do this one. Delhomme has a nice matchup this week but hes on bye the week after. Hes been decent all year minus 1 game vs TB. I think hes been better than Favre. He only had that one monster game. Marshall is a beast but on bye this week. If you are sitting pretty then hold back. 2: I dont like this one. Forte may hit the rookie slowdown at some point because he's carried the ball way too many times. His ypc have gone down and I think that Willie will atleast be equal to him down the stretch so why lose mcfadden and the difference between TO and roddy 3: Do it in a heartbeat. SJax is a stud. Thanks for him dude. Hope this isnt too late
